the federal lawsuits have made the NCAA powerless. There should be one transfer with immediate eligibility + additional transfers sitting out a year.

But we all know the NCAA can't do much about it in this legal landscape

Really like that the portal is only open for 15 days, so we'll know who we've got rather early on.  Now if the NCAA only mandated that portal players stay a minimum of 2 years, I'd be more of a believer in this entire "free agent" system.

No Hjertaas again tonite. That’s now 3 games and it’s radio silence from the program.
Down 5-2. Terrible first half. Rutgers came to play and we aren’t answering.
11-8 victory.  Tale of two halves. Team woke up. Gritty win. Go SB.

Good game and I thought a fine showcase for the CAA. Lots of talented players on the floor, which was characteristic of the conference as a whole this season.

Was thinking especially how there were two very dynamic first-years so close to each other on this island in Edmead and our Shosh.

Three locals all heading to the big dance. St. John’s, LIU and Hofstra… How about that.

That was great final for the CAA. Hofstra wins and punches its ticket to March Madness for the first time in 25 years (they won in 2020 but was cancelled)

Sincerely happy for them but also a bit jealous. :(

Hoping we can get to the top of the CAA mountain in the next few years. A lot of building we have to do!

Venom toward Monmouth! I didn't know that was a thing. I thought for sure we'd all be on the Hawks tonight.

I do like that two metro area teams are still playing while the southern teams aren't. I've always worried that Charleston and UNCW would seek greener pastures, even without football, and we'd end up backfilling with some lesser program and sulk about it, but we're holding our own.

The transfer portal was an absolute MOB SCENE at this time last year. It won't open until after the tournament's over – a good thing – and will be open only for 15 days. Inevitably wild though.
