Ideally, TSM has it at the end of regulation, but I'm also good with Clarke creating for himself or a teammate. He had gone on a little run late. Smith just made a nice play. Sure would have been nice to see what would have happened if a shot went up.
I hate to be negative. It was an incredible run and everybody should be applauded. One time, though, I would have liked to see an actual play run for somebody. Tonight there was no inside out, no cutting, nothing, for most of the game. There's a guy in a sweater who I'd pin that on. It just wasn't good. I have to think the guys were out on their feet at the end, but also, we have seen our offense completely stagnant before, a lot. We had nine assists on 29 makes, and I'm guessing most of those were in transition. We made some TOUGH SHOTS to keep us in it; otherwise, ouch, it could've gotten ugly. Everything just felt really really difficult. A lot of one on one, a lot of standing around, a lot of contested looks. I thought Charleston did a good job freeing up Smith and others, and he was able to set his feet and shoot.
i think youre right.
our shooting, which wasnt great, bailed us out.
we lost boards by a lot. and when you lose that- you cant afford to miss 20 low % shots. not in an OT game.
hoping for an NIT/CBI/CIT or whatever it is these days. Vermont plays UML for your information...
