I thought the Ivy League didn't offer scholarships and opted out of the NIL/Revenue-sharing.

I don't see how they will compete against the CAA. Unless you are basing it on the academic prestige drawing better athletes
If you are talking about about Harvard, Yale, and Princeton the fact is that financial aid is so generous (and offered to all qualifying students) that most football players attend for free. Or very very close to it.

And that stacks up well against attending UNH or URI (for example) for free.

We’ll see if revenue sharing/NIL changes that.

While I wouldn’t expect three Ivy playoff teams a year, I would expect two once in a while. I can see two most years from the Patriot League.

CAA football  is likely to have a very low revenue sharing   commitment minimum. So the teams remaining  in the severely depleted (Delaware, Richmond, William & Mary, and Villanova) conference are likely to stay. May become a single bid league.
Meanwhile, the greatly strengthened Patriot League is likely to become a multi- bid league. And its rival, the  Ivy League, is finally participating in the FCS playoffs.
So, quite a power shift in east coast FCS football relative to conferences.

While the departure of three strong programs from the CAA might give us a better chance of getting the auto bid, it might give us a lesser chance at getting an at-large bid.

CAA might be on the way to being a one-bid  league.

Not a surprise. Nova, Richmond, and William & Mary make  Patriot League football a bigger player in the East.

CAA football may be in for more changes.

the pat is great and all that, but what's the allure here?

dont they not allow scholarships, or limit them?  how's W&M gonna deal with that?  NIL money?
I’’m guessing both Richmond and W&M admins were unimpressed with the recent arrivals/departures in CAA football. Amongst other concerns. And now see PL as a better ‘fit’. Schollies/NIL not impacted.

Obviously, the departure of these two strong (athletic and academic) football programs to another FCS  conference is quite a blow. In a way it is a tougher pill to swallow than the departure of JMU and Delaware.

Right now Nova admins/fans have to be eyeballing PL. They would be the tenth PL football member.
