It is time to move off of Geno, if not Heilbron is a sitting duck.

https://sbstatesman.com/140588/sports/despite-no-public-announcement-geno-ford-is-not-coaching-for-his-job/Come on X or Twitter tonight at 6pm EST for the People's Forum as we talk about Stony Brook Basketball and Shawn Heilbron!!!!
It is insane that Heilbron saw how highly criticized the secret Heilbron extension was and decided to just do it again! Bravo to the kids for uncovering this, for a second time.
Triple Lindy is right Heilbron ever since McGinnis has never faced any pressure from his bosses because McGinnis didn't care about sports and the Interim President didn't think it was right to give Heilbron an Extension of 3-4 years and talking to people it was reduced to a 1-2 Extension because of giving extensions to underperforming coaches and hiding extension because he can't justify it. For Heilbron, he believes anytime he can get good news he will post it immediately but will hide everything. Goldsmith seems like she wants this Athletic Department to improve, and I would put money she isn't convince Heilbron is the guy. Remember, Together We Transform! The multi-year contract extensions weren’t announced because neither one could be justified.Over time I’ve become less and less impressed with this AD for various reasons. He seems like a positive individual but doesn’t like to make difficult decisions at times. Perhaps he needs permission before making any decisions or he’s too comfortable. Perhaps a combination of both. He’s made some very weak statements in the past when interviewed by the school newspaper, the inability to raise money in a timely manner and market the brand, quiet extensions and/or retention of underperforming coaches, and even questionable if not farcical athletic Hall of Fame nods in recent years. These are my own observations and opinions but I’ve become mostly tuned out to Stony Brook Athletics outside of the success of the women’s lacrosse program.
I was there. But, I must say that they're not as entertaining as they used to be. Mostly for the kids to get autographs these days unfortunately. The Voice of the People will reach out and demand Heilbron and Emmerich Jr listen to the people about the Microphones being too loud.
I used to really enjoy when Pikiell and Ford would introduce each player individually (and tease them a little in the process). You got to learn a little about each player, as well as his personality. Last night provided no insight whatsoever. Now, just to watch them shoot layups, foul shots and uncontested 3's is no big whoop!
On another issue (a pet peeve)--if you have some influence, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE tell somebody to turn down the volume on the microphones!!! The volume can certainly be lowered, and still be well suited for the crowd and the arena. Last night was painful, and contributed far too much distortion and loss of clarity. Understandability at the games would be much improved--trust me.
