Don't have a full understanding of how it works but I believe TSM, Clarke, Noll and Maidoh were all NIL guys so theoretically that opens a good amount of NIL money for Geno to use in the portal. Assume Fitz will get a TSM level deal to stay.
Whoa, a 3 star QB recruit? Offered by a bunch of Sun Belt and MAC schools, and even Charlotte who's now in the AAC?
Everyone already knew that we kept Priore on way too long but I am not used to us actually getting these kinds of recruits
Factorykitten, can you reveal your sources who told you Geno was extended? That is the whole point of sources: you protect their anonymity. Once you break that, it's nearly impossible to be trusted again with insider information.
The only coaches remaining from Coach P will be Bache, Martino and Hammonds. Hatch will be doing more administrative duties and Billy Barber will be taking over his dutiesHated Hatch, wish he was no longer working for athletics at all, but this is a step in the right direction. And absolutely love giving Billy Barber more responsibilities. Who better to help recruit than a homegrown guy.
Is that who it is? How you know...
I'm just guessing. It's the only transfer QB that I know we've offered and then you can see that he liked a couple Stony Brook FB tweets this week
Well, you are correct with the name, Tyler Drake-Knoop. He is a graduate transfer (1 year remaining) from Georgetown.
Awesome. I like that Cosh was able to bring in a QB with experience that presumably fits the offense he wants to run. I think he'll still have to beat out Casey Case for the starting job, but I expect whoever gets the nod to put up numbers with Anthony Johnson to throw to and Cosh's resume at VMI and Richmond.
There is talent at WR, in addition to Johnson, as well as TE. And the 3-headed RBs are more than capable in Martin, Carson and Dempster. The offensive line needs to improve, that's the area on offense that needs an upgrade.
Pretty credible source has UMass as the "top option" to move to the CUSA, joining Kennesaw State and Delaware, who have already committed. Scrapping some longtime regional rivalries to go up against Liberty, Western Kentucky, UTEP, etc., in all sports makes me quite ill.Towson football would remain in the CAA like Richmond?

If UMass left, that would drop the A-10 to 14 teams, and you wonder if they'd stand pat or try to bring in two teams to get to 16. If it's the latter, the CAA has a few attractive non-football options that would fit right in, i.e. Hofstra, Charleston, UNCW and Towson.
His last stop wasn’t Wake Forest it was Duke (I believe) and they just got a new coach if I’m not mistaken so he needed a job. If he does a good job at JMU and they continue to grow there program it could raise Lyle’s clout in the coaching arena and get him a bigger FBS job.
They were on Coach P’s Staff and it sounds like to me that they are still working
He called out Hatch in a tweet last year? Not related to us anymore, but I don't know where else to put this: Ty Son Lawton transferred to Indiana. I didn't know he still had a year left, it'll be his 7th season.

I think Hatch was the one he was tweeting at when he left for JMU and now here he is playing in the big 10. good for him. Hatch must be really happy this holiday season.

Back to the issue of developing, old regime had a win now mentality, they recruited heavily in California and those big football states to get their average players instead on taking local talent develop them and secure a home town fan base. Guarantee if half the team was from the NYC/LI area that stadium would have people in it even during a losing season.
They also need to get the faculty and students more involve. That place has tremendous potential.
