Ugh . Looks like Dean Noll is done with what seems to be a leg injury

Confirmed on Twitter.  Off to a great start.

Noll was looking GREAT as a pass first point guard who could really shoot.  We haven't had that in years.  This is a major major loss for the team.

Im not getting the talk about Gueye for a fifth year?  He has played four and surely will have  degree and with his athleticism a good pro contract overseas.  Why in under any circumstances would we think he'd stay?

Not sure the CAA is an option - I think Hofstra would fight tooth and nail against it - and as an existing member would get their way.

If anyone thinks the Portal or JUCO transfers is the answer, you are flat out wrong.  Those kids ALL have baggage.  The answer is to work your ass off recruiting the right high school kids and get them into the program.  I don't wanna hear that it won't work.  It's how the two best teams in the league have done it.

I am sure it is purely coincidence but let's try this theory.  Geno looked at the possible playoff matchups and how the pods were forming.  Having this knowledge, he decided to lose the game to make sure SBU was in the Lowell and UNH pod.  Again, Im sure just luck, but we got into the right pod if we want a chance to move on.

You can blame Geno all you want.  The bottom line is this team has zero talent.  You cannot win at this level with juco's and transfers.  Everybody left, and there was no choice but to rebuild this way.  Add a pandemic to the mix and this was never going to be a successful year.  Just have to retool, get a big freshman class and start from the ground floor.  I don't think we can evaluate Geno until there is some talent who can actually play a bit.

And who is the guy we feed in a tight spot?

I truly believe that whatever five we have on the court at any time, they all think they are that guy.  That's a huge problem.

I’ve watched most the of games this year curious if anyone thinks this team can make the tournament? And make any noise if it got there? I think its an average team but they might only need to be slightly above average to get in.

I think we are an average team, but I also think this is a league full of very mediocre teams.  So yes, we can make a run.  Having said that though, we tend to make life for the other teams easy.  Way too many bad turnovers, taking bad shots, not hustling back on defense.  For us to win it, we will need to play smart for three games in a row.  I am not sure we are capable of that.

Hartford shoots 3-26 from 3 yesterday and win.  They will shoot better today and this game has us getting blown out all over it.  They keep talking about Sayles being the defending AE player of the week - well he is not that player normally and a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile.

I think it's an overly dire prediction from them, but a few Vermont fans are thinking they may end up cancelling the season.  If UMBC, Albany, Hartford, and a couple other schools follow suit, we could be dancing!

This team has some ability, the juries out on whether or not it has any heart.

Cup half full -  We are the only undefeated team in Conference play in the AE.  I don't see that changing for two more weeks at least.

The only thing I'll say about extending the bench in the second half is that maybe Coach was trying to save guys knowing they were playing back to back.

The Ivy League canceled its winter season. Are we really gonna do this?

We may not end up playing a season with numbers spiking right now, but it won't be due to the Ivy League.  I think there is a bit of Ivy fatigue with them making these decisions.

We better our chances for a season if SB opens a satellite campus in Georgia in the very near future.  Gonna be tough sledding in NY
