I think that's fair. I can see him returning if things don't pan out, if it's a NIL situation.. SB is dropping the ball on all things NIL and you're exactly right- they'll keep losing players so long as that's the case. Incompetence and this athletic department go hand in hand apparently.

Hate to break it to you, but nobody actually likes coming off the bench.

I don't know if it's necessarily the NIL side. Fitz was the third leading scorer on the team.. but came off the bench? I can't imagine that this transfer isn't a Ford bungle in some shape or form.. Either way, he's a big loss, both in terms of the oncourt side and program leadership.

I usually leave the second highest scorer on the bench at the end of games too..

The coaching decisions are just... a lot to process.

Why do they never throw the ball inside or have any kind of plays centered around creating shots for their post players? They went from having a pretty consistent post presence last year to five guys hanging out on the three point line then a guard randomly driving and attempting a shot. If I'm Fitz or Maidoh, I'd take whatever shots I can get.

There have been some rough games this season, but this... this might be the hardest to watch. I'm not convinced they'll win another game in conference play.

They close the gap to 6, Geno subs his big and goes with all guards + Sarvan... They're down by 18 within 3-4 minutes. Bryant scored most of their points in the paint. They're just so slow to react or make adjustments.

Welcome, T-Bird.

Concerning stats from KenPom. We are the worst team in the country in offensive rebounding %. Even worse, we are 357th in three point percentage, yet we’re 12th in three attempts per total FG attempts at over 50 percent. That is a brutal disparity.

Thanks! I didn't think to see if there might be a forum of equally frustrated fans out there until tonight.. The blowouts so far this season are hard to stomach, as are those statistics. We don't have anyone who can shoot 3's consistently yet seem to have built an offense around the assumption that we have multiple players who can knock them down. Yikes.

The leading scorer tonight only shot 5 FG's.. There's a serious offensive problem, which starts and ends with the guards. They were not severely out-rebounded (30 for EWU vs 23 for SBU, 7 OR vs 4 OR) but EWU took 16 more shots. On top of that, we can't shoot free throws. We can't shoot 3's. We can't take care of the ball in general.

At this point.. just put the two bigs on the court at the same time and see what happens. What do they have to lose?
