Has anyone seen anything on Sebastian Regis? Wonder if he could come back. Any other news on where any Stony Brook transfers have landed?

this is good for Stony Brook but I just don't understand the lack of offers for this kid.  How could he have no other CAA offers?  No schools from the MAC?  I guess FBS schools just can't get over the height issue.  It is just sad.   Was hoping that east islip alum Panagos at Kansas would have scooped him up.  I guess time will tell if the FBS just missed on this kid.
Tyler Bolesta better watch out.  His bench press record will be falling in the next year or 2.

I can not believe this is the guy they hire after spending money on a search firm.  Where is there a proven record running a productive offense?  The people running athletics would fail a test with an answer key.

They would have been better off making a run at the Albany OC - Ambrose.  Coached at Towson many years and is familiar with CAA and the recruiting battles.  He is the one responsible for turning their program around.  He brought the QB in.  I would love to know the final candidates they were considering if this is the best they came up with.  A better move would have been hiring a successful D2 coach such as the Kutztown HC or the Slippery Rock HC and hope you get lucky like Holy Cross did with Chesney.

It had to be a financial issue.  No other excuse.  Did they even give this guy 200k?

Albany crushed Villanova 31-10.   Their only CAA loss was to UNH 38-31.

Albany did not hire a new coach.   There coach is in his 10th season there.  They have done very well with the transfer portal.  The 2 stud defensive ends are transfers as well as their quarterback.    They also have a few Old Dominion transfers at WR.  Their turn around was hiring the old Towson head coach as offensive coordinator last year.

Stony Brook can not miss on this hire.  We really should look at the Kutztown HC.

I think the Holy Cross head Coach would be a good candidate.  He was in the running for the Delaware job so he would want to coach in the CAA.  After Holy Cross finished in the top 6 last year he could be ready to go and has realized that he reached his apex there last year.

Other interesting long shot candidates would be a few coaches from the PSAC who have had success.  Kutztown HC Jim Clements and Lutz from Slippery Rock.  Another name which would have been out there if this was a year or two down the road is former SB player Dan Mulrooney.  He is in a rebuild at Lock Haven and had their best season since the early 80s.  Went from 1 win to 5 in his second year there.

What about Ambrose the OC at Albany?  He basically saved Gattuso's job up there in Albany.  I can't wait to hear the rumor mill for the candidates.  I just don't know how the AD survives this and is given the opportunity to pick a new HC given his track record.  I guess we can always hope for a miracle that he is shown the door next.

This job should get alot of interest.

And what exactly would leave you to believe SB can beat Albany.  They can't score on an absolute garbage defense in Fordham.  The week before Lehigh scored 28 on them.
They have one of the most pathetic offenses over the last 2 seasons.  What does that say about SB?  How will SB score on Albany?   Lightening is going to strike and SB will all of the sudden have great play calling and a game plan to score.   This team is going winless.  The question is how they spin giving Priore a contract after this mess?
