Haven’t said much this year but we look terrible. Flat out non competitive worse than the 11 win year a couple years ago with an injury decimated roster. Last year’s title run was driven by an old senior laden team mainly TSM not Geno. He is a lame duck who is going to get fired. I wonder how much an impact Fitz would have made on this team we need him. Instead he cashed probably 6 figures to be a bench warmer thats life in the portal as a mid major. Do any of these teams ever have buyers remorse?

Good couple pulls from the portal. Lets see if the ball actually moves lot of juco guys hope it translates. I also won’t allow a good tourney week stretch to totally flip my opinion of Geno. We were extremely old last year but i’ll be cautiously optimistic for next year. Mainly because every other CAA team also imploded especially Charleston which probably would have 3 peated.

How are we gonna get people to give NIL when people don’t even go to games we need to nab 1-3 big money donors do they even exist?

Fitz leaving is odd to me yeah sure make money but is he that valuable? Only 1 year left doesn’t rebound idk he might return. Charleston has a billionaire funding its collective and the city businesses contribute we can have all the deep pockets alum we want but they dont give a rip about our program. Fitz leaving I don’t view the same as Policelli at least he gave us 4 years. Fitz could be the focal point of a depleted team I think he’ll he in for a rude awakening on his value.

This is a move for the A10. They have way deeper pockets than anyone in our league.

Charleston was never going to outrun a team  like Alabama. Somehow dropped almost 100.

Charleston will have a great shot to 3 peat almost the entire roster is slated to return. Except Butler and Policelli. Maybe we can peel off Khalil London who will not see many minutes and is a long island kid.

If they went to the A10 next year they would be middle of the pack thats another reason im hopeful for Stony Brook Charleston will be gone soon so will Delaware.

The gap between Charleston and us is probably very wide resource wise. Pat Kelsey makes 1.1 million dollars 500k was secured through private donations after last year. He got a 150k bonus for winning the tournament almost half of Geno’s salary. They are in a beautiful coastal city nearly sell out every game probably avg 4700 fans we rarely get over 3k. If they are able to get 500k for the coach from donors could they match that with NIL? As a mid major with a war chest of 500-600k lot of things can happen. But I think resources aside Charleston would always be good because of the location fan support and Pat Kelsey they play a beautiful selfless brand of basketball. Policelli i will remember as a largely solid player who was here during a lot of turmoil and took a huge step his last year. TSM i will remember as an all time player and you can tell the way Geno talks about him he thinks so too.

All time classic game we fought our asses off which I loved TSM refused to go down without a fight great performance. Lost by 1 possession to a team I could see making a run in March if the matchups fall their way. Congrats to Policelli had a sneaky 12-5 but was solid throughout the tournament wonder if anything is different if he is on our side but I guess we’ll never know. We have some offseason momentum to reboot this thing through the portal got good national exposure.
