Thanks, ecasado.  We haven't lost a conference game at Williams Stadium in over 6 years.  Now you guys know why.  It is a tough environment and we even had an off night from an attendance perspective of barely 14k in the house.  Not sure, but that may be our season low.  We'll do better if we somehow squeak into the postseason and put in a winning bid for home game in the first round.

While you guys are cheering on VMI, we'll be CSU fans for a week as well.

sbufan - It is not good news that Colgate upset Lehigh.  The Mountain Hawks were in regardless and they just chewed up an at-large bid that potentially could be needed for you guys.

I hate to say this, be we know how you feel.  You guys have kept us out of the playoffs two of the last three years with season finale victories up your way. Hopefully your new friends in the CAA have enough pull to help you guys out in the selection process.  Don't count on any assistance from your Big South commish.  I hope you guy get in with an at-large.

We have to win at VMI next week and hope that Coastal losing to Chuck South for us to get in with the auto bid.  The 3-way tie goes to CCU once again under yet another stupid tiebreaker rule.  I don't see us losing to the Keydets but a Chants loss to CSU in the season finale to bump them from the playoffs has a historical precedence.

For the record, the announcers were from the Big South and not our Liberty crew.  And count me among those who is glad we never have to face Maysonet ever again.

Yeah, you'll be able to see this game televised on a slew of channels.  All of our games are televised nationally and on ESPN3.

If you haven't heard, we are using the game as a fundraiser for victims of Hurricane Sandy.  We expect a decent-sized but not overwhelming crowd (probably 15-18k) on Saturday.  We have a 17-game Big South home winning streak on the line.  But there is no question the wind has been taken from our sales by the laundry list of starters (including two consensus All-Americans) we have lost for the season.  Our offensive line has been decimated.  We barely have enough guys to dress upfront.  But some of our freshmen have began to show some spark including our young QB.  We still have enough to talent to pull off the upset, but we'll need to play nearly perfect ball while you guys stumble along to have a chance.  The Seawolves have our respect and we are going to miss our annual matchups with your departure.

There is no question we are in a rebuilding year (hint: you'll understand the concept in 2013) and you guys should manhandle us on paper.  But I think in your brief stay in the Big South, you have learned that winning in Lynchburg is no easy task.  It has been years since we have lost a league game in Williams Stadium.  So I expect we will play up to our competition despite our rag-tag lineup of back-ups after an unbelievable run of season-ending injuries.

If any of you make it down to Lynchburg, drop by the tailgating areas and ask if any FlameFans are in the house.  You will be treated very well.

We're feeling the pain right now.  But congratulations on you guys getting over us and into the playoffs.

I agree wholeheartedly, ry1nik.  I have no idea what to expect outside of a tight ballgame like we saw twonyears ago at LaValle.

As for Emory, I love the pic of him in the old USL gear.  I'm not sure whether he knows Big South football but if he went to school in Lafayette he knows Cajun food.  If younare ever passing through Lafayette on I-10, Prejeans is a must stop.

Polls are primarily based on reputation.  Liberty has earned some respect in recent years and SBU is earning it right now.  I think you'll find yourselves very pleasantly surprised by how you are treated by pollsters next year if you win on Saturday.  We're paying attention and seeing that you guys deserve a ranking.  Not everyone follows the Big South as closely as we do.

And the coaches poll is nearly universally panned as a complete joke.  No one pays attention to that one.

I'd pack the Long Johns either way.  The win blows at funny angles up there on long Island.

By the way, MASN is carrying the game live so folks with DirecTv will have this one in their living rooms.  It still is a Flames Sports Network production being carried there as well.  I wouldn't be shocked to hear that one of the local or regional channels picks it up as well.

Glad to see you guys working to make this into an event.

Will the fact that the game is televised hurt or help attendance on Long Island?
