It's their Super Bowl...so patronizing.  ::)

Can't believe a coach would say something so stupid like that. C'mon Speedy. Do better!

Especially coming from a school that no longer even has a football program!

I do think coach Ford zinged him back...unless it was just a coincidence...
In complimenting Edmead, he said "If you want to see him next year, I suggest you buy the Big East package".

Amazing how quickly I went from feeling like this program has hit rock bottom...(I was a fan during the first days of D1...and I was there for Warney/NCAA dancing, etc.)...to now thinking this team has something...something worth watching at least and the potential to make some noise.

The near win against UNC-W...and now these 2 impressive wins against good teams...

But this same team also put up 37 points a few weeks ago.

It should be interesting, at least.

This crazy turnover each season regarding the roster means the team needs to gel...but also as fans we don't really know what we have until things settle a bit. I'm not sure which team is the real team yet. In years past we at least had some historical context.  I do miss watching players develop.

I feel better about the team than I did 2 weeks ago.

First game attended this season, with my son. We usually attend more, but it's been a busy last few months and I admit the enthusiasm on our part had been a little down based on the team's record.

I really didn't know much about the team this year due to the extreme level of roster turnover, and I was judging them by their record. We actually got interviewed by WUSB for their tik tok in the arena lobby before the game. We were kind of taken by surprise and were asked for score predictions. While we hoped for an SB win, we predicted losses based on the record.

Well, I feel bad about that for sure!  I wish I could take that one back...but I guess only several people will ever see it! These guys worked really hard. Snoody's performance, especially after that scary injury was inspiring. O'Connor looks like the real deal.  CJ looks impressive.

Not sure how far the team will go, but they seem like a good bunch of guys who work hard and play for each other and have each other's backs out there.

I don't know much about Geno Ford other than I always read of him getting a lot of flak on here  :D

But, his post game interview sounded like he's a coach who knows his stuff, has a plan, etc.  I guess that just means he says the right things publicly...who knows...

What I hate most is, at this level, not making it to the dance means the season will be forgotten by the general public (not us). No big news story, no banner.  A shot or 2 makes the difference between making history and it just being another season that is largely forgotten by most.

Any chance they get an NIT or other invite based on how they finished the season?

Oh man. So proud of this team. Didn't deserve to go down like this. I feel like this team earned it more than the Warney team even, and I was there for that game. Much harder gauntlet they had to go through in the CAA tournament versus America East that year. This team never quit. The clock just ran out on them.

Great fight. When we get hit hard we fight harder instead of getting discouraged. Still possible!

Can't ask for more from them than what we've seen so far. Especially considering this is their 4th game in 4 days. I love the fight and spunk. Whatever happens, I'm proud. But it's there if they can keep this up!

I love the character of this team!

Woo!!!

Couldn't watch but listened with my kids around the smart phone on 90.1.WUSB.

My kids are excited...took them to that UNCW game that we won in OT, seemed like a turning point for the season.

Is this game on TV at all? Surprised it is not on SNY considering a lot of regular season games were on there.

Looks like this is a summer thing and doesn't preclude him from continuing in the g league next season/trying for the NBA? ...

It looks like Jameel has signed to play for a team in China.

Hopefully he is making some good $$, he deserves it.

I do hope he still gets more of a real chance in the NBA at some point...I'm no basketball coach or expert, but he looked good enough to at least warrant an even longer look.

Tears up the G League
Team USA Basketball MVP (take a look at past winners and the company he is in)
Plays about as well as one could be expected to play in limited minutes in his first 3 NBA games ever
Seems to be an amazingly hard worker, class act, coach-able, no off the court issues

If someone like this doesn't land on an NBA team, you almost have to wonder if big name $chool$ and the NBA have some kind of con$piracy going on where they don't want kids to see that there are avenues to the NBA other than going to these big name $chool$.

Warney played well in the games he was in...why did they bench him for the last 2 games?  I don't think one could ask for any player to have contributed more during the minutes he had.  Definitely a little puzzling...

EDIT: Played well is an understatement...most seasoned players would be hard pressed to put up the #s he did in those limited minutes...let alone a player playing in his first NBA games ever....on a 10 day contract, which adds even more pressure to perform.  I don't see how things could have gone any better.  Hoping he catches on somewhere and really shows what he can do.
