SBU Football / Which CAA Teams have the MOST Players in the AAF?
« on: February 12, 2019, 06:25:56 pm »
With the new football league launching last weekend, the Alliance of American Football (AAF), we set out to #1 learn more about the league and #2 figure out which CAA team has the most players currently in the AAF.

Some interesting tidbits below -- especially on how the AAF is different from the NFL.

Check it out, the Seawolves are represented. Also curious to hear how people thought opening weekend went for the AAF!

SBU Football / CAA Football Stadiums...RANKED
« on: August 09, 2017, 09:41:22 pm »
Yes, we are from the Tribe. But we thought folks around the CAA might want to read...and argue with us   8)  as we break down each CAA Stadium and rank them from 1-12. Feel free to comment on what YOU think are the best/worst stadiums in the CAA.

Is it football season yet? Good luck this year!

Hello Fellow CAA fans! We at the W&M Sports Blog decided to update this ranking, as we did last year! We found some interesting tidbits, such as:
-There are currently ~64 CAA players in the NFL (including Rookie Mini Camp Invites)
-Roughly HALF of these players come from THREE programs in the CAA
-Stony Brook, despite currently having a low number of players represented, still have more than three other CAA schools combined; we have no doubt that as Stony Brook continues to settle in to the CAA, their numbers will go up.

Definitely check out the link, and feel free to fact-check our lists! To find all the players, we used the ESPN tool (in the link below), and conducted research through each team's Twitter pages/official websites to find their Rookie Mini Camp invites (if their program had any).

Good luck this year Seawolves!

Hello Seawolves fans! Just posted our preview article of this weekend's game. Stony Brook's defense looks really good, the Tribe's best test since Virginia Tech. Should be a great game this weekend --though maybe a low-scoring one. Good luck!

You can check out our preview article of the game here:
