I don't think it's worth it. Leave this bush league conference for what it is and move on to the CAA

Agreed. At this point, too much pain has been initiated by this garbage, low major conference. Time to move on and out.

Hey boys. I don't like that mindset.

Negotiation101! If you can negotiate some concessions on your way out, why not try it?

The student athletes deserve it and will be thankful for it. especially our WBB/WLAX ladies.

I think its definitely worth giving it a shot. If the effort starts getting too expensive ($$$ wise) then I would agree that it's best to let it go.

Totally agree.   You now have UIC that has turned the tables.  A little groveling goes a long way; make some of those concessions about not hosting any Championship games.  Do what you have to do SH; the kids deserve that.  Trashing the AE on your way out the door doesn't help anyone.

There are 29,413,039 corporations in America; but only one Chairman of the Board.

After reading that letter to the AE President from McGuiness, she gets my full support and respect. This is what a good president does for her athletes and students.

This is good. Hopefully it leads to something. The bigger conferences don't do this BS. Most conferences don't do this BS. For all the talk of Texas and OU killing the Big 12 over the summer, nobody from those leagues advocated for barring those teams from winning conference titles.

Like I said before

(1) The top multi-bid conferences don't have an economic or competitive incentive to ban their outgoing conference mates. Because their conference tournament is more of a money making event than an entry to the tournament. Texas/OU would make it easily via at-large to the NCAA anyway if they are having a good year

(2)For the little guys its all about the auto-bid!

If it’s about money, mens bball tourney unit money goes to the conference first. AE can keep the money if we make it….we probably have .01% chance if we were allowed in post season tournament. But for other sports there’s barely any money. It’s all about achievement, bragging and banner. Let the kids compete. Makes no sense banning them. Stupid rule.

At this level it isn't about the money. Its about the auto-bid. The AE tournament makes no money and has no broadcasting dollars. The auto-bid is the most important prize because there is only one shot to make it to the tournament. That's why they ban teams on their way out in the low-majors but they don't ban them in the high-majors
