Stony Brook WBB started practicing officially on Monday. Here is the link of a video of the first official practices:

What do you guys think of the our Women's team this year? any expectations?

  Their schedule is pretty tough but I'm optimistic .  I think they  build on this year as the men did when Coach Piekel  first arrived.  Our coaching is vastly improved  so  expect progress.

Picked eight in the Preseason Poll... I really hope they do better than they are expected. Maybe 7-6-5th in the standings will be a vast improvement

The tone of practice is completely different from past years.  A lot more conditioning and refining of skills.  So far O'Boyle seems like a good find.

Well, they won their opening conference game against Vermont and are on a 3 game winning streak after starting the year 1-10. Liking what O'Boyle has done so far with what IMO is a limited squad talent-wise.

I expect we will see more progress in 2012-2013.   They are in the same situation the men were in several years  ago and look what happened.
