bollinger had a great day especially off stickside.  1400 in attendance.

we jump out 3-0 on a team (opposite of usual) and we upset #16.  i really thought we were in danger of not making an AE berth, and now we are tied for first and pretty much guaranteed a shot. GO SB

Another topic of note, I don't think I've ever heard our home crowd get behind our guys as much as I did yesterday. There are several variables that factor into this of course, including choice of seating, etc. but I was very impressed. This is based on my 5 years or so attending as a fan at LaValle.

Is it crazy to think that Stony Brook would be a top 20 team if they were even just average at faceoffs? Looking at the stats, their faceoff woes account for, on average, a 9 possession swing. Not an easy way to win games.

3. Albany — The Dane Train was idle this weekend. Binghamton comes to the Capital region on Friday, April 20, and then the train rolls to Yale on Sunday, April 22. That Sunday tilt can be seen on ESPNU at 6 p.m. Stony Brook appears to be the primary threat in the America East.

wow, unranked SB could be the primary threat to #3 UA?  even considering the faceoff disparity???

GO SB

Stony Brook looks better every game. With goalie play like that we can stand toe to toe with anybody. I thought the defense played great and the offense did enough. I think they had 3 or 4 pipes that could have made the score look much different

Tied for first in the conference and an RPI of #34. Just 4 more wins and maybe we can have a bobble head night for Bollinger.

Go Seawolves!

yeah.  look at this statistic-

holds to 9g or less: 5-0
gives up 10g or more: 0-7

some better faceoff play would really go a long way.  that really explains 5 blowouts in 7 losses.

Great stat.....5 more faceoffs a game could change the need to hold others under 10 goals. Honestly this stat shows how good this team can be. Getting crushed on faceoffs and we have been competitive in most games. We are outplaying team's when 6 on 6
