First Half Stats
1-7 on Extra Man
1-8 on Faceoffs
14 shots to Hofstra's 23
6 GB's to Hofstra's 13

Oh yeah...down 5-1 on the scoreboard

Hoping for 2 things
1) A 2nd half comeback
2) The passionless clueless coach to be seen the door ASAP

That was pretty painful to watch. Looked like a PAL league team attempting play at the college level. While walking to the parking lot with 12 left in the 4th I heard Hofstra ding up 11 and 12 in quick succession. Very difficult to stay positive watching the team get over-matched they were tonight.

This season is lost. Albany has really taken the throne in northeast lacrosse and won't be relinquishing it anytime soon with the way they recruit and develop players.

Just have to hope the young players continue to develop. Stony Brook should be an elite program given where we draw talent from. I'm a guy who is trying to get into lacrosse so won't pretend to know the nuances of the game but it is incredibly painful to get smoked by Hofstra in any sport. I know the team is young but this was an awful outcome.

The mediocrity has got to stop. It's time for Heilbron to make his first major lacrosse move and find a coach that can develop talent and win games. The men's lacrosse program is lagging behind the other major sports at the university which should absolutely not be the case.

Heilbron should be on the phone trying to find our next coach ASAP.

5 total SOG isnt good.  especially when hofstra had 6 in the first quarter.  we had zero in the first and fourth.

for shots, yanes/aldermann/tierney totalled 31.  we got off 20.

we had three opportunities on EMO 6v4, which must be unprecedented.  we only capitalized one.  we were otherwise 2/12 EMO.

also one faceoff we won because the ball went out of bounds.  two others i think we won on a technical foul.

otherwise, clearing was good, TOs were low.  we made some nice saves.  is this the year we dont make the AE tourney?

It’s time for change.

I dont know nearly enough about Lacrosse like most on here, but I do know enough to say it is def a time for a coaching change. I dont know if Naggle is in a long term contract or not and if SH has to buy Naggle contract out..If he is locked into a contract then forget about any buyouts.

It is my understanding SB is hurting financially. I am hearing from people who work there President Stanley is running this university into the ground. Maybe somebody with some knowledge of this can explain better

I agree, but it is all about $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ right now and I dont think SB is in the financial position to hire and fire at will...

You can't take shots without possessing the ball. We have started every game this season down 3 or 4.  Defense never getting a breather. Offense never finding it's rhythm. The coaches are preaching faceoffs don't matter but the numbers say otherwise...

Heard the OC (Gibson) refused to coach last night and said nothing while his players were looking to him for guidance. That goes a long way to explain 2/12 on the EMO. As a coach, I have heard Gibson is so demoralizing and demeaning that I would guess he has  ruined more talented players than he has ever developed.

If I refused to do my job, I would get fired. I do not know why this situation warrants a different outcome.
Nagle, to his credit continued to coach and tried to be a positive presence on the field.

At the very least, the AD needs to look at the OC situation here.

They need to clean house and start fresh.  And if Gibson didn’t coach last night he should be seen the door today.
