This team just doesn't have enough talent to compete against the schedule they have and that's all on the Coach.  Praying he gets canned after the season.  The program deserves so much better than what he can offer.  Fingers crossed this is it for Jimmy Boy.  Onward and Upward...Go SeaWolves!!!
Agree. There’s no reason SBU, being in the heart of lax country, shouldn’t have long-term success like Albany does.

Not sure I agree with the negative assessment, its only 1 game. Tale of two halves, SB got better as game went on and won the second half. I agree that first half was disappointing. I saw talent on the field. Sacred Heart is no slouch and had a winning record last year at 9-6 and will give Bryant a run for the NEC championship. They will win 10 games. We want SB to play a tough schedule and get ready for conference play. Let's face it , it is all about getting better every week and make your conference championship game and see what happens. It's all about our May 6th game against Albany in the conference championship!! Let's go Seawolves

Inside Lacrosse picked us 2nd in the conference for a reason. Be patient, this is a  young team that can be dangerous the 2nd half of the season.

SHU is better, yes.  also the entire field of teams isnt as top heavy as it used to be.

also once erler got the butterflies out he showed a lot of promise. our 1v1 defense was fine but team D had breakdowns- expected this early.

i liked what i saw from mccannell.  another thing to mention is that the position-switching seems to have been mostly undone, at least on offense.  also i note that we are really running at least two true midfields, which is a good thing for depth but also has the drawback of some guys not getting into a rhythm (for example, white needs more touches).  but thats my opinion.

faceoffs were a headscratcher (won 7 of 9, then skidded) but that happens sometimes when FOGOs figure out what the other is doing.

if give up 9 to SHU in the first half, UA should put up something like 26.

Zero shot this team beats Albany.  They will lose 90% of the faceoffs and their attack will put up 25 on the SB D.   Hope I'm wrong but let's face it, Nagle has done nothing to grow the program in his 7 years.  Here's the a change in 2019.

I just rented Miracle...you never know. Beating Albany is unlikely but has to be the goal. We play 10 teams this year that are ranked or received votes this week. http://www.insidelacrosse.com/league/DI/polls Eleven if you count the Villanova scrimmage . That's how you can grow the program by getting big games. I am not an expert on what Nagle has done well or poorly but talking to friends who's sons are currently being recruited Stony Brook has some disadvantages in attracting all recruits. Take a tour at at Virgina or any ACC or Big Ten school, even go look at Fairfield or Sacred Heart.

It's a great schedule no doubt.  Just don't think the coach does enough to attract or keep talent.  Sure SB is at a disadvantage vs Duke, MD, UNC, Cuse and some of the big ten schools but you cant say SH has a better campus or facilities than Stony Brook.  SH plays on basically a high School field.

Also, How come Priore can attract kids from Texas, Florida, California, NYC and Long Island, Senk has kids from all over the North East, Boals attracted kids from NC, PA, Ohio and NY in his first year.   And let's not forget what Spallina has done or the woman's program.   Nagle just doesn't have what it takes and as Bill Parcells said, you are what your record says you are.  Time for him to go IMO.
