timeout SB with 2:19 left.

bitzer hits a post.  big save johnstone.  SB timeout 1:24 left.

bitzer inverts, same play, turns and shoots, scores to tie it.  8-8 tie with 1:07 left.

SB is obviously not playing its best lax down the stretch- two conference games against teams they should beat, and they go down major goals (5 against hartford), catch up and win in OT.

UA it up the hawks for 24.  SB has only been held under 10 against SJU and HU.

the bingo/vermont game i think decides the seedings.  i think either way, SB plays VT and UA gets either hartford (bingo loses) or bingo (bingo wins).

rooney scored 4,3, which takes him to 98 points on the year.

where hartford went wrong- lots of TOs, lots of flags, couldnt score in the 2nd half.

where they went right- won a lot of faceoffs, stopped a lot of outside shots, and obviously kept easty in check.  has anyone done that?  maybe lehigh.

SB took great care of the ball, with a slightly-low 9 turnovers.

curry with 2GB, 2 caused turnovers, a huge assist, and the hartford mids did nothing.

and how about rooney with 4GBs and 2 caused turnovers?

is corpo out?  when will schultz be back?

for what its worth- fairfield just beat hofstra, and navy lost to army, duke beat ND, that all helps a bit.  LC lost to army a few days ago, we could really use princeton beating cornell and marquette losing to denver.

Not sure anything really matters other than winning the next 2 games.

well some bracketologists show SB as bubble-out.  makes you think that if you beat SJU and Lehigh, maybe you are bubble in!

also some polls still have SB inside the top 20- with 18 teams going, I wonder how the resume would look with those wins.

yes but I meant it more as the simple math of being in the top 20 puts you generally in the bubble range.  because 18 teams get in, and in a typical year, half of those AQs (if not more) are already in the top 20.

win those two games (which were winnable), maybe you move up a spot or two.  and then it gets interesting...

remember '05 when losing at LaValle to Harvard 9-8 in February... Harvard got the last spot in, we were the first out.

more that would help-

Fairfield beating UMass (and then Drexel/towson); marist beating Monmouth (and then DMU/QU); Maryland beating OSU; ND beating army; cuse beating colgate.

the thing is, all of these should be likely.

and then we could use some help from penn st beating hop.  and Princeton beating cornell (and then brown/yale).  air force beating navy.  a lot could happen!
