the team should be on notice now- lose to duke, lose the at large bid.

im telling ya- watch four ivies get in- which may include princeton btw- and on selection sunday we will all be upset. http://laxmagazine.com/college_men/DI/2014-15/news/040715_ncaa_division_i_mens_lacrosse_bracketology_first_edition

in fact, we are not even in the first four out.  but PU should be in.

so what can we do?  beat duke.  GO SB

Better beat Lehigh on the way to the Duke game. Can't let that one slip away!

Lehigh beats Princeton last night in a thriller. Brook has 4 games over an 8 day stretch with Umass Lowell 4/10, Lehigh 4/12, Duke 4/15, Bingo 4/18. Going to be a busy week. Busy is good. It should keep them focused. Good luck!

not sure if this is good or bad for SB... of course, if Lehigh gets really hot in Patriot play, good.  but methinks we are better off having a win in the top 15 than two wins over 20-25. http://www.laxpower.com/update15/binmen/XSTBXX.PHP

lehigh is like SB in 2013/2014; lots of one goal losses.

.. and marist has won 3 in a row, beating hofstra (must be the first time ever right?), and possibly can win out.  if they win the CAA, that helps too.

meanwhile, the hofstra sinking ship just blew a new hole in the hull: http://network.laxpower.com/laxforum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=40417&sid=938294658883d01a75144c2902ae8f7a&start=2940#p1310926

the bottom line is that hofstra isnt really that much worse than 5 years ago... its that teams like marist, fairfield, drexel, lehigh, st joes, etc are now solid teams.  and then add in that new programs have had recent success- marquette, robert morris, boston, richmond, HPU.  and the traditional powers falter (hop, princeton, umass, navy).  times are changing.

albany should win out, perhaps a tough game against a stingy yale.  fairfield has three tough games coming up (towson, delaware, hofstra), would be nice if they can win those...

we really could use princeton winning the ivy too.

note this will be brody's third year with 40+ goals.  and likely a fourth next year.

this has been the tone from all those interviewed this season:

Can't wait for the Duke game. You going to that one Mr. Chairman? One day I hope to break out the grill again and maybe even a new tailgate recipe! Can you still tailgate at LaValle?
 ???

Some tailgate memories from happy times at SBU games!

We've had the Chicken McBride
Grilled chicken breasts marinated in Italian dressing, topped with roasted red peppers, and fresh mozerella cheese,

The Crowley Sweet Sausage Special
Grilled Italian sweet sausages, roasted peppers, onions, and balsamic vinegar

The Rivalry Burger
1/2 pound of "Great Dane" of beef...WE'RE TALKING BIG ARSE PATTIES with garlic, salt, and pepper, fresh melted mozzerella cheese, sliced jumbo beefsteak tomato, sliced red onion, smothered in A1!!!

The....
Sausage Compitello Heeee roh!

Sweet Italian Sausage - right off the grill! Look for the smoke!
Fresh Sliced Mozzarella Cheese
Roasted Red Peppers
Fresh Italian Hero
Balsamic Vinegar

Go Brook!

Maybe we bring back the Cinderella Chicken or I will work on a Brody Burger? ;D

rooney on the tewey watch list: http://laxmagazine.com/college_women/DI/2014-15/news/040915_eight_added_to_tewaaraton_lists_in_second_update
It's about time and well deserved.

He would have been there earlier but his coach thought he would better help the team as a Middy...Ha                                                                             j/k

If Duke loses to UVA, I'd take the odds on Stony Brook taking them out next Wednesday. The Seawolves aren't afraid of anyone as witnessed by the fact that they play at least one game against a team from every conference except the Southern and Northeast, and even include a game against one of the two independents. Now that's egalitarian scheduling.

of course, we want duke to win, so it improves both respective RPIs.
