A three point win over Princeton was huge for this team.  They’re still a little tough to figure out, but this team should push Albany for an American East title.  A “should win” against Umass Lowell is next with Lehigh following this week.

The difference between you and I is that I don't claim to know more than the coaches do.  You've criticized Nagle for years and now it's gotta be eating out you that they're winning.

You got it all wrong buddy, I am so happy they are winning.  I love the program and have always supported them.  Am I happy when they go 6-10 with a ton of talented kids, no?  Am I happy as a fan seeing top recruits leave the program, no.  I love the fact they are 9-2 winning games they are supposed to win.  I loved seeing them in all the polls today.   Quint putting a 9 was fantastic.  What's wrong with national recognition?   It helps the schools profile and the teams profile.  It will help coach bring in better kids.  It's all good my man.  Like I said I couldn't be happier with the results this season and will support the team through thick and thin.

Also, I'm fully aware that Nagle knows more lacrosse than everyone of us..I get that.   Carry on....

How crazy would it be of Rooney puts up 100pts.   85+ seems automatic.   Insane!!!

Stony Brook 13, Princeton 10
This could be the breakthrough win for the Jim Nagle era at Stony Brook, as Brody Eastwood led the charge with five goals. It's the Seawolves' first win over an Ivy League club since they beat Harvard in 2007. On the flip side, this is a tough setback for Princeton, but the Tigers don't have any time to dwell as they face Lehigh on Tuesday night.

My Top 20
19. Stony Brook

The photo was in '93, the year after I graduated Stony Brook. The '93 game was played at Stony Brook and #41 is Chris Chamberlain. In '92, we lost at Princeton 12-5, the day after beating Lehigh on the road.

What Happened: Stony Brook 13, Princeton 10

Quote
Takeaway: The win marked Stony Brook’s first over a ranked opponent since 2012 when they beat Delaware. At 9-2 the Seawolves are also one victory away from their first 10 win campaign since 2011. I have had this team on my radar for several weeks now. I love how Stony Brook plays and the balance they possess on the offensive end. This was once again on display Saturday against the Tigers, as seven different Seawolves scored goals. Trailing 4-1 after one Stony Brook caught fire and forged a one-goal lead at the half, then pulled away in the second 30 minutes of action. Mike Rooney is a talented quarterback who runs the show. Linemate Brody Eastwood was the beneficiary of his toils, scoring five goals on the day. Middies Chris Hughes (3, 2) and Challen Rogers (3A) make it impossible to just focus on the attack. With the loss, Princeton missed a great opportunity to grab a win that could have been cashed in on Selection Sunday. Stony Brook padded its resume quite nicely and has to feel good about the direction this season has taken.

and this too:
Quote
while Duke has a surging Stony Brook and ambitious Marquette squads to contend with. Win those games and go winless in ACC = get in. Lose any and go winless in the ACC = nervous team on Selection Sunday.
