Returning starters: (att) Rooney, Schultz, Easty, Sichenzia; (off mid) Rogers, Hughes, Andreassi; (2nd mid) Bitzer, Corpo, Balzano; (face) Rowe, Curry, Rock; (def) Judge, Luca; (gk) Johnstone

Other returning contributors: Cunningham, Harris, Ellis

Departing contributors: Vassallo, Benitez, Millican, Cerasi.  Is Rowe returning?

Incoming freshmen: Calvagna (mid/FO?), and five poles in Ross, Randall, Abdellatif, Anderson, Talay

Who may have a break out year?  Jay Lindsay may be needed.  Also one of our fr/so defensemen, of which there are many (Fraietta/Bailey/Garcia will be sophomores).  I can see guys like Ellis and Cunningham filling in some well needed defensive midfield and also helping with the two-way game.

A big benefit for next year- other than most starters returning- is that we may have an experienced 2nd midfield that can threaten to score.  That will be good for our 1st mids to get a rest, help us win those close games and avoid fourth quarter unraveling.

And a new recruit showed up on the radar- Pat Harrington out of Huntington.

Two other freshman I'm looking forward to are Mclean Chicquen and Matt Robison from Carey. Robison had 47 goals this spring, and Chicquen is leading his box lacrosse team in scoring.

Tyler Andreassi red-shirted last year...if the kid can stay healthy he is a player with the pole.

From 2012:
Tyler Andreassi, Jr., Sachem North (N.Y.), long stick midfielder
As one of the top long stick midfielders in the country, Andreassi brings great versatility to the position. He's capable of shutting down elite offensive midfielders and creating opportunities going the other way. Andreassi is ranked No. 37 in the ESPNHS Top 50 Juniors, and he's No. 3 among LSMs. He has committed to Stony Brook, where he will play with his older brother Michael, a sophomore attackman for the Sea Wolves.

Doubtful; its a common name and Rooney is from East Islip.

Many of the recruits were in the playoffs or are still going.  Ill post those in separate threads.

Not to put a damper on anything but we need a winning season in 2015. Then make some noise in the AE Tournament. Lets get back to 2010 form  when  we  were a power.

Just a little nugget on Tyler Anderson from SWR. He rushed for over 4,000 yds in his high school football career.

Pretty sure Chris Hughes is helping coach my kids lax team this summer.  He was all excited to tell me this really tall kid Chris from SB was going to help coach the rest of the summer.   Seems to fit the bill...hopefully I can get some scoop.
