Stony Brook The Seawolves have won eight of their last nine games, the latest was 13-10 gem over Princeton. Mike Rooney now has 67 points, trailing just Lyle Thompson. Brody Eastwood has 39 goals, tied for No. 2 in the land. The offense is scoring 14.5 goals per game.
The America East is a two-horse race, with Albany beating Stony Brook, 17-15, on March 14 being the most significant game thus far.
Its interesting to see that Stony Brook has a non-league game on April 15 against Duke. I believe this was a weather postponement. It becomes a Wednesday game of national significance.
also this: 7. Albany Even in defeat, I was very impressed with what I saw from Albany in a Thursday night loss at Syracuse. If the Danes can figure out their face-off woes, lookout. Lyle Thompson is averaging 6.8 points per game and continues to amaze. If Albany wins the America East AQ and it won't be easy beating Stony Brook again this team is a matchup nightmare in the NCAA Tournament. Others can't say that.
