I like the expansion, would like to see it go to 20 teams. Albany I believe wouldn't have had to play in last year. Post season  any way you get in is good. This might get SB a home play in gm so I will take it. As far as the schedule I don't think they are going to scrimmage in the fall cause if they do so they can't play 16 regular season gms in the spring.

Not  being an expert but that looks like a  strong schedule. 2 ACC  teams , 1 Big 10 (Rutgers)  and 1  AAC. Not bad .

I agree about the lack of quality teams, but I would take the home schedule.

yeah sorry didnt mean to sound flippant- i do understand what goes into scheduling and how hard it is, esp given the conference.  id be surprised if FU finishes in the top 25.  UA likely will.  Rutgers wont.

Just saw on the news that team Scotland just arrived at Adelphi to play them. They are to play Post and SB but they didn't say when. Maybe someone could find out.

Okay...it's slow around these parts so here is my projected starting lineup

Mid - Rogers, Andreassi, Lindsay
Attack - Rooney, Eastwood, Schultz/Sichenzia
D - Benitez, Monzo, Judge
Pole - Harris
Shorty - Millican & Ellis
F/O - Lucky Luc
G- Shaughnessy (would like to see Johnstone challenge)

Thoughts?

i like it.  I heard that Kyle Rowe has done well at the faceoff, and i know Lindsay was good at the x too, so maybe there is more of a committee there.

I think we will see a lot of Chris Hughes at mid also.  Curry also impressed when healthy last year.  There's a lot of new freshmen though and so lets see what happens there.  Perhaps this will end up being the second line or some combo thereof.

On the d side, im guessing Millican, Rock, and yes Ellis.  Maybe even Sbarglia.  Also depends on what stick they give Cerasi.  Def could see Harris running more LSM.

Nagle Speaks...who knew
http://www.goseawolves.org/sports/m-lacros/sched/ston-m-lacros-sched.html

Jim Nagle, #Seawolves announce 2014 schedule.  Slate includes games against 10 home games

Stony Brook, N.Y. - For the first time since 1989, the Stony Brook men's lacrosse team will play 10 games at home as third-year head coach Jim Nagle announced his 2014 schedule Thursday. The Seawolves will play four games against schools that won 10 or more games last season, including last year's champion Duke.

"I think our fans are going to be really excited to see this year's team," Nagle said. "We have 10 games at home against some quality opponents, and having a tough non-conference schedule will prepare us for the most important part -- America East play."

Stony Brook will be home at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium, the site of the 2014 America East Championship, for five of its first six games and seven of nine.  The Seawolves open the season on Friday, February 14 against Marist and take on Lafayette four days later on February 18.  The Seawolves will travel to face the Blue Devils on Sunday, February 23. It will be the fourth time in school history that a Stony Brook team takes on the defending champions.  After three home games -- Rutgers (March 1), Maryland (March 8) and Sacred Heart (March 11) -- Stony Brook heads across the Long Island Sound to take on Fairfield on March 15. Stony Brook is back on Long Island against in-state rivals Manhattan on March 18 and St. John's on March 22.

Conference play will get underway on Friday, March 28 at UMBC. After a non-conference game at home against Quinnipiac on April 1, Stony Brook will play games against Vermont (April 5), Albany (April 12) and Binghamton (April 19) before the regular-season finale against Hartford on April 26. The America East Championship semifinals are on May 1, with the finals to be played on May 3.

Stony Brook returns seven starters from last year's team, including four of the top five scorers. Junior Mike Rooney (East Islip, N.Y.) and sophomores Brody Eastwood (Victoria, British Columbia) and Challen Rogers (Coquitlam, British Columbia) each tallied more than 40 points. The Seawolves' top three leaders in ground balls - sophomore Frank Lucatuorto (Stony Brook, N.Y.), junior Bryan Judge (Melville, N.Y.) and senior Cole Millican (Weston, Fla.) also return.
