Like many 2019 recruits, Entenmann made his verbal commitment to Notre Dame early during his sophomore year of high school. Along with his playing under legendary coach Jack Moran at Chaminade, Entenmann also worked to develop his goalie instincts with former UMass/Stony Brook goalie Zach Oliveri and former Hofstra goalie Chris Selva.

lots of assumptions but gives an idea of who our competitors are, especially for recruiting

Hofstra-Stony Brook
Known as The Long Island Rivalry, Hofstra and Stony Brook first met in 2004 and played each year until Hofstra cancelled the series in 2009. However, they got things going against in 2016. 2019 marked the tenth all-time meeting between the two and saw Stony Brook break Hofstra’s two-game winning streak. Hofstra leads the all-time series 6-4.

John Espey led the Stony Brook men's lacrosse from 1988 through 2004.

STONY BROOK, N.Y. — John Espey guided the Stony Brook men's lacrosse team through its early years as a Division I program.

Later this month, he will be honored by the Long Island Metropolitan Lacrosse Foundation for his years of devotion to Stony Brook and the sport in general.

Espey, now a long-tenured assistant coach at the United States Merchant Marine Academy, will be inducted into the LIMLF Hall of Fame in a ceremony on Jan. 25 at 7 p.m. at the Long Island Marriott in Uniondale.

Espey is one of 12 inductees in the 2019 Hall of Fame class.

"The No. 1 thing about the Hall of Fame is that I'm thankful to have had so many great players at Stony Brook and at some other places where I've coached," Espey said. "It's been very rewarding to have been around so many great players and the people I've worked with. This is a tremendous honor."

Espey guided the Stony Brook men's lacrosse program between 1988 and 2004. He collected 116 victories, the most of any coach in Seawolves history.

Espey helped elevate Stony Brook lacrosse to Division I. The program made the transition for his first season at the helm.

The Seawolves and Espey claimed the 2002 America East Conference championship and made the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance, playing No. 8 Cornell in the opening round in Providence.

In addition to his time at Stony Brook and with the USMMA, Espey served as a coach on the US Lacrosse national team. He also served as Duke's head coach for six seasons.

Espey continues to serve as assistant director of facilities at Stony Brook.

The 2020 edition of the Stony Brook men's lacrosse team begins official practices on Thursday.

Couldn't agree more COB. What Crowley has done in both indoor and the field game is incredible. He should have won the Tewy in 2010. You would be hard pressed to find a better all around player than him. True legend.I am no good at this but maybe you could post that blind goal he scored against denver.
