I'm really impressed Nagle. I think he's been getting it done in every way. He just won AE championship with a team that graduated 4 all americans. As far as his recruiting goes, he already brought in two first team all conference players in Brady and Tundo. I think the future is bright. We have some great seniors that will be sorely missed, but I think we have a program now and players will step up and fill the holes.

Me too.  And he brought in Andreassi, and next year his brother.

He even lost more than 4 AAs, he lost Trenkle, Legall, Reinert, Greene, Camposa, PLUS the four AAs.  That's difficult, and he got it done.

Now, looking forward, there are all kinds of middies coming in that will compete for time.  I think we will see more Watson next year and maybe some Schultz on attack, to replace Belton.

On mid, Campbell and Bonanno graduate, so that will put pressure on Tundo, who will get the pole at every moment next year.  Every moment.

On 2 mids, Adams and Dahms graduate, but its clear that Duddy is the guy, and they are comfortable with Andreassi out there.  Maybe these guys run first.  Maybe some of the freshmen get some action in the void.

On D, they lose Gibson, Moeller, and Miceli, but maybe Greene comes back, and some good talent comes in.  LeVerne goes too, but Cerasi i think is ready to step up.

I agree w/Joewillie we need to shock the world next week!!!  And also gotta give Nagle his props he got it done. I know he takes alot of heat for being a hard ass but that is what gets it done.  Ricky Sowel ran a country club and look at the results underachieving 2011 team.  I think you are 100% correct chairman when you talk about his recruiting ability, if anyone saw Colgate play you would realize that this guy has a knack for getting top players such as Peter Baum who is the best attackmen in the country.  With the transfers we had this year and the kids coming in next year we should be a in the mix for some time.  And with Hofstra home for the holiday's this could not be sweeter.  If you look at newsday.com you will find that Stony Brook has the most 2012 commits from the island w/24 for all sports mens and womens. Hofstra only has 10 so we are now winning the local recruiting battle.
GO BROOK!!!

A few more thoughts on the UA game....

SB ran a ferocious ride, especially early in the game.  When UA would clear, they would get 2 or 3 attackmen to force them to the sideline and a failed clear.  That put a lot of pressure on UA's defense.

I watched the replay and i counted at least 5 instances of guys hanging their sticks and getting the ball checked out.  Unacceptable at this level.  I mean, even at the JV level, if you beat someone, you cant forget 1.5 seconds later that they are behind you.  ESPECIALLY if you carry a pole.

The subtle but important takeaway from the UA game is that Nagle has this team running a true hybrid tempo- its transition when the #s are right; its slowdown when possession is necessary.  It not only works, but it is flexible to any opponent's game plan.

The transfers on this team- can enough be said?  Brady, Tundo, Andreassi, Moeller, Watson, Bonanno even Keneally.  Technically, Campbell is a transfer too.

Players that were in the 2010 QF: Campbell, Belton, Adams, Hawkins, LeVerne, Miceli, Laforet, Gibson, Feeney.  Im sure that experience helps for the upcoming tournament.  What a story that would be if the Seawolf staff at Lehigh ends up meeting the Seawolves in the QF!!!

At halftime, some of the UA players ran up the steps into the stadium and then behind a tree in the NW corner, presumably to take a leak.  What was that all about???
