If the tide was turning, it turned right back. Horrible loss tonight against Hartford. The only good thing that could be said about this season is that SBU was keeping their regular season AE win streak alive. Losing it at home against the team that dissed them last year at LaValle is just ugly.

The team can't hold a lead.  I'm thinking one and done in the AE tourney

Went to the game. Another crushing loss against Hartford. It felt like AE Championship all over again. This is getting to painful to watch. But at the same time, THIS league is so horrible that it makes Stony Brook a contender. Albany loss today so whatever. Tied for first place. We have a chance to win this conference again

Great crowd tonight. I like the support that SBU is getting. Just wish we would those games...

Crazy thing is they still control their own destiny for the #1 seed in the AE tourney.  Now they just have to beat Albany, which will be no easy task.

So SBU beats Albany with a goal at 8 seconds left.   Good going SeaWolves.

looks like hartford edged out vermont 10-9.  correct me if wrong, but that puts SB in first, followed by BC, Albany, and then Hartford.

So SB hosts Hartford, BC hosts UA.  Right?

Hartford is probably the worst draw in the entire AE.  Id rather play anyone than them.

Just got back from Relay for Life at 6am from the SBU arena. Both lacrosse teams winning make me feel damn good!

Although home field advantage doesn't seem to matter much for SBU this season, I've GOT to believe they won't let Hartford beat them again at home. This season has been disappointing, but anything less than making it to the championship game this year would be a major downer.

Stony Brook just won their third straight regular season conference title. There have been some disappointing moments, but you can't ask for much more than that. I agree that Hartford is a tough first round match up. I think all four teams are capable winning the tournament. It should be interesting.

Actually, yes I can ask for more than 5 wins against 9 losses playing a schedule ranked 38 out of 61. I think you should you ask for more too.

We won the Regular season only because this conference is terrible. But I agree with ry1nik, we can indeed ask more. An NCAA bid is still possible in this weak conference. This is our top program. We want to see it compete against the best teams nationally. Maybe next year they'll bounce back. For now, I'll take this win

Rough season no doubt but they played everyone tough with the exception of UVA.  6 loses were by a goal, three of which were in OT.

Right now the team is healthy and playing well so anything can happen.  We all knew it was a rebuilding year but it's nice to win the AE regular season and if they can take the next 2 at LaValle they will make the Tourney.  Gotta get that revenge on the Hawks this Wed.  Let's Go SeaWolves!!!

Troubling post on the laxpower forum:

Yes Coach N did go after No. 17 during the Hartford game ...Nagle silenced the Stadium crowd with a number of loud f -bombs against the poor kid as he came off the field and while he sat on the bench...."How many times have I f'in told you...how many times do I have to f'in tell you, etc, etc," All this face to face with the player...very disturbing and created much embarassment in the stands. I presume that is why the Stony Brook AD stood by the bench at the next (Yale) game. It is said that Colgate was not sorry to see him go.....perhaps the AD did not do the due diligence necessary on that score.

Hopefully this is not par.

I agree Joey- if they didnt have such a huge gap with Rand graduating, id have to think they can turn at least a couple of those 1 goal games, if they could get over 50% at the X.  They havent caught a break all year; i think three goals were called off, a second put back on the clock against Hartford, missed penalties, etc.  Theyll get one soon.  GO SB.
