Did anyone notice that SB was wearing last year's jerseys at Albany?  Dont get me wrong, i likem better, just curious.

If i had to guess, Resetarits (Albany) right now is the leader AE PoY.  Rooney for RoY; whoever wins gets CoY.  Just a prediction as of now.  Really nice to see a defenseman win an award, even if its a fan poll.

Weather tomorrow night is 60' and sunny.  It isnt supposed to rain today, so maybe the field will even be dry by then.

Bender's been on fire lately, and Nunamacher got us for 4 last time around.  Except for the game at SB ten days ago, Hartford hasnt played great on the road.  But then again, SB has been downright awful at home this year.

Yes I will be at the game, maybe a little Park Bench before.  I hope Nagle decides to change uniform combo ala the football team wearing black against liberty.  Maybe we should wear all red and make Hartfoed wear white.  Just me but all over  Lavalle it says get your red on and the Hartford comes in the last 2 times in all red and sticks it to us.  Just a thought but it worked for Football who excersized their demons with Liberty.  Chairman give me a shout if you are going.

nerve racking... I realized we had this game with 15 seconds left as Stony Brook had the ball... Hartford plays SB very well but I'm glad we were able to walk out as winners today. On to Saturday against Albany. our fourth straight championship game

ha...I realize we had the win when the clock said :03 left.  Had to watch the webcast though.

Crowley and McBride at the game tonight.

Laforet looked great on the draws...remined me for the first time of Costabile.
Millican is great in transisition....he is by far the fasted guy on the team
Tundo and Campbell are such bulldogs...really helped hold the ball with the late lead
What's not to like about Rooney?

See you all at LaValle on Sat...Lets go SeaWolves!!!

Actually. i would've preferred UMBC. But big games against Albany are always great and have great crowds.

Albany sees to be peaking at the right time. Just hoping that the Brook holds them off! Go Seawolves

Here is what the coach said.

Nagle said after the game,

"I thought our defense was outstanding tonight," coach Jim Nagle said. "Hartford is a great outside shooting team, so our goal was get tight on their attempts. The defense won us this game."

Hartford, which came into the night averaging 12.5 goals per game and scored more than 13 five times, was held to less than 10 for just the fourth time this season.

I think this coaching team is one of the very best, and I am looking ahead for SBU to develop into a national force.

best,         N

And Tundo, who was the primary keep-away ball carrier in the 4th quarter, had NO turnovers on the day.  How about that in a 1 goal game!

Newsday story and photos: http://www.newsday.com/sports/college/lacrosse/seawolves-top-hartford-gain-final-1.3695949

Hartford just plain couldnt shoot at times.  Many shots sailed well above the crossbar or way wide of the cage.  Part of this i think was SB taking away the angles.  That can happen when you play a team twice in 10 days and you can scout.

Miceli got the start in place of Judge and played AWESOME.  With Brady's help, these guys created transition (Moeller/Gibson/Laforet/Millican/LeVerne) and pushed it, and it mostly worked.  And it was exciting.  But i think SB was lucky to escape with a W.  GO BROOK!!!!!!
