Looks like a good schedule to me. Delaware, Virginia, Siena were all ranked team last year... Go Lax!

I saw a little more than a half the other day- i think the guys who shined most were Smith, Duddy, Zorn, Rooney.  Moeller is the best player on his side of the ball and always plays great.

Laverne is hurt until the spring, Greene will redshirt (knee).  Bellando didnt play.  Tundo didnt play but i heard will play at LC.

I noticed Watson was running attack (i think) and also IL has him listed as a Junior- thought he had all four years... corrections?

Did Leverne and Tundo play at Loyola? From what I've read it sounds like we jumped out to early leads against both Loyola and Villanova before slowing down considerably. Its a young team with a new coach. I think this we'll start to click towards the end of season, and we could end be a dangerous team come the America East tournament.

Chairman, I was wondering if you followed the women's lacrosse team at all and if you had any thoughts Spallina? I met a D2 women's lacrosse player last spring and it came up that she thought Adelphi would crush Stony Brook (this was before Spallina was hired and I really don't know it came up but I think she had scrimmaged both). Any guess on how the Adelphi transfer's game will translate to D1.

I didnt see Laverne in the video... and i dont think i saw Tundo either.  Thought i read on LP that he was going to play...

Not really, i do follow the women's team, but not that close.  Id have a hard time believing that statement, as im not sure any D2 team would "crush" a team like SB.  Id wager a guess that Spallina doesnt think so (well, its hard to say but you know what i mean).  Lets see how the transfers play out.

From watching the videos i didn't get such a good impression of the Stony Brook teams against the OOC teams. Hopefully they can practice and pick it up for the season.

Last i heard was that Luke Miller already asked for a release and is transferring to NYIT.

Also just heard that sophomore Derek Muzio asked for a release.

That's to bad about Luke Miller but I guess this kids want PT right away

Muzio was never going to get any run...just to many poles ahead of him

Thanks to LaxHound at LP, i found this new website called LI Lax Beat.  Interview up with Nagle already: http://lilaxbeat.blogspot.com/2011/12/interview-with-stony-brook-coach-jim.html

Says he is working on "a few" more potential transfers (heard maybe Sean Brady from Duke?) and will play both up tempo and down tempo lacrosse.  Says the emphasis is on passing, discipline, and fundamentals.

Thanks for the interview link, Chairman. I must say this will be the most intersesting season for SB lax (men and women) ever. The men and women may start off slow the first few games with new coaches, but despite expectations for the Hartford men and Albany women, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if both SB lax teams won the conference.
