I knew his cousin, Dave, who played at SB in '98 and '99, good player.  And good to keep it in the family!

Reminds me of McBride- same game.  A true finisher, but not necessarily a crease attacker.  Makes living on the wing, steps up into crease when necessary.  He seems to be a right place right time guy (because he makes it so).  But he does more, as he is comfortable at X.  Strength, though, is off ball.

In the videos linked above, he is sometimes inexplicably open- on the crease no less; a testament to his lax IQ, as only a FR/SO.

Great shot placement and only a soph.  Never puts much on the ball because he never has to; all of his shots are in close and the goalie, is, already beaten.  Likes the face dodge too, not sure if that will get him a better shot at the college level (slides will come early).  He does understand the tuck after the dodge, so no hanging the stick.  Yes, this still happens at the D1 level, mind-boggling.

Also noted he developed the fade away shot and fade away feed; he can play off the back foot, which will be helpful against the pressure poles in D1.  That can get his hands free and create feeds.  Would like to see more left hand.

Saw some transition, some feeding, some GBs.  I like that he, for a thinner guy (only a soph) isnt afraid to get dirty inside the crease.  Plenty of time to put on 20 lbs of muscle!  PS he is 6' and only 15.

This kid is good.  Could be a role player for us (perhaps EMO early on, with his off-ball style of play).  Future is him and Sheets on attack- not bad!

Ryan Ozsvath, A, Half Hollow Hills West (N.Y.) has verbally committed to Stony Brook. The 6-foot-1, 160-pound recruit has started on varsity two years, tallying 29 goals and 7 assists to lead his team in goals. He was also named to the 'Final 40' in the Long Island Showcase for rising juniors. Ozsvath strongly considered Boston U., UMass, High Point and Loyola.

Danny Hughes from Shoreham Wading River announced on twitter that he's committed to Stony Brook. I can't find too much on with regards to lacrosse except that he had 4 points last year on a Long Island championship team including a goal in the downstate championship game. However it looks like he's going to be a three year starter at Shoreham on their football and basketball teams.

thanks- another local!  will check it out and revert.  SWR is a great place to have a pipeline, no?

(edit)- yes looks like he was on the second line this year, so with two seasons to go, we have big expectations! http://riverheadnewsreview.timesreview.com/2013/03/44302/boys-lacrosse-preview-opportunity-is-now-for-defending-champs/

can you post the twitter link?  I cant find it for some reason...
