Laxpower is showing James Gerstner from Mineola is committed to Stony Brook. I don't believe I have seen his name reported yet.

Gerstner sounds like a really solid late addition to this class.

Comber set a program record for most saves in a game back in 2013 with 27, but on Tuesday in a 10-4 nonleague win over CBA, Comber stopped 28 shots.  In addition to his most recent achievement, Comber owns three additional program records. Entering this season, Comber had a record 806 saves for his career. He also broke his own record for saves in a single season last year with 312 and his save percentage (68 percent) in 2014 ranks first all time. He already has 58 stops in three games this season.

kickel and cusmano (and grippe too) at Melville are at a healthy 9-2 with one goal losses to connetquot and northport.  kickel and grippe have 8,2 and cusmano 3,1: http://www.laxpower.com/update15/binboy/XWARNY.PHP

crossan has a good start, but south side struggles: http://liherald.com/stories/South-Side-braces-for-close-games,65488?page=1&content_source=

Ryan Ozsvath is tied for second on Long Island in goals scored with 68. I believe his season is over after a 20-10 loss to Sachem North last week.

Gerstner: http://www.theislandnow.com/sports/mineola-high-school-advances-to-nassau-county-lacrosse-finals/article_52302a6a-0313-11e5-a031-2bfc93484252.html

“The bond is really special. I think it’s a once-in-a-lifetime things and I just love to come to practice with them everyday,” Gerstner said. “It’s not a bunch of me guys — we’re all looking for the other guy just trying to put the ball in the net.”

The Mustangs fell to CSH in the county championship, but had a good season.

Alejo at Syosset won the Nassau Class A championship over Massapequa, 17-8: http://laxmagazine.com/high_school/boys/2014-15/news/060315_nike_lm_hs_northeast_report_syossets_triumph

btw Syosset is ranked #2 nationally in the LP computer ratings: http://www.laxpower.com/update15/binboy/natlccr.php

they next play Nisky for the NY State title, which includes junior attacker aidan byrne, who won a sectional title last week (fourth photo scoring a goal): http://www.timesunion.com/news/article/Niskayuna-boys-lacrosse-wins-fourth-straight-6283656.php

it would be interesting if alejo ends up covering byrne...
