Watched a Yorktown game this weekend and I have to say this kid Presteau is really impressive. He has 63g 20a in 19gms with the state playoffs still to come. His 63g on the season are 2nd only to Roy Cosley in school history for a middie. He is fast and has a rocket of a shot. He really shoots well on the run creating his own offense. Joe Linardi said he is one of the most underrated kids in the country.

Prestreau had another 4 goals in the state quarterfinals loss to Niskayuna. Kid looks like a stud.

Incoming midfield recruit Paul Bentz from Massapequa is playing in the class A long island championship game this saturday. It looks like he has had a productive season with 45 goals and 19 assists on the year.

Looks like Rowe got pretty banged up: http://articles.washingtonpost.com/2013-05-08/sports/39105303_1_warhawks-hamburg-injury

BUT note that when he plays, Madison wins.  and when he doesnt... http://www.laxpower.com/update13/binboy/XMADVA.PHP

-Kyle Rowe '17 and the Madison Mustangs are on fire, winning 14 straight.  They play #1 Chantilly tomorrow for the Virginia state title.  Theyve played 3x already, with Madison winning the last one in triple OT. http://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/highschools/madison-sinks-dominion-to-advance-to-virginia-state-championship/2013/06/05/4a725850-ce47-11e2-8845-d970ccb04497_gallery.html#photo=3

-Brian Prestreau '17 made the AA team: http://boyslacrosse.lohudblogs.com/2013/05/28/yorktown-dominates-lineup-of-all-americans/

He lead Yorktown to some monster wins and put up some nice #s (63,20).  They beat Chaminade and lost to St. Anthony's by 1.  I think he totalled 10G in those two.

He also scored 4 in the loss to Nisky in the Regional Semis: http://www.lohud.com/article/20130530/SPORTS/305300080/Boys-lacrosse-Yorktown-stunned-by-Niskayuna

-Brandon Bailey '17 had a feature article here on his commitment to SB: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/recruiting-insider/wp/2013/05/13/bowies-brandon-bailey-takes-unique-route-to-stony-brook-lacrosse/

-Paul Bentz '17 made All County Nassau: http://www.leaguelineup.com/welcome.asp?url=chiefslacrosse

They won Nassau A, but lost the LI Championship to Melville (everyone lost to WM this year): http://toplaxrecruits.com/long-island-class-a-boys-championship-no-1-ward-melville-rolls-past-massapequa/

In other news, Kevin Crowley '11 has been leading the MLL in goals.  Some good ink here: http://laxmagazine.com/mll/2012-13/news/060513_mll_power_rankings_national_off_to_special_start

Inside Lacrosse mag has post grad student Mark Ellis from Westminster (Conn) prep school via Garden City high committed to USB for next year.  Sounds like he is playing football and lacrosse:

And Mark Ellis, who is playing at prep school, visited and announced that he will be playing both football and lacrosse at Stony Brook next year.....

Ellis is a stud!! This kid has real speed. Would make a great def middie . He has Milican speed or possibly faster. He is also a great DB in football. He has the athletic ability to contribute in both sports. He has what is most important and can't be coached, speed. He was running low 4.5 and high 4.4 forties as a senior in high school. Really nice find for both teams, I thought this kid was underated and under recruited at Garden City.

"He's probably one of the greatest kids I've had the opportunity to coach," Scotties coach Joe Pollicino said. "He's very humble and a hard worker."
