From the original signees, it seems weve lost Mason Pynn and Alec Lucas.

Tundo came from OSU, should contribute right away.  I think he has two years left.  He didnt play in the intrasquad scrimmage, however, i heard that he will play down at Loyola.

Also new is another transfer from OSU, Ryan Keneally.  He is a St. Anthony's grad who i think is a grad student.

Bryan Judge is brand new, i wonder if he signed late or the word just didnt get through to Laxpower.

Thanks for the info.

Are any of these kids considered national top recruits? I'm just wondering....

Tundo was an elite recruit coming out of high school. None of the incoming freshman were nationally ranked but Scalera, Duddy, and McGushin were high school All-Americans.

Ok perhaps this is a bit crazy, considering its for the season starting in the spring of 2013, however, with 8 recruits signed for the Class of 2016, this is what the roster may look like in the fall of 2012:

NAME   POSITION   YEAR
Nick Watson   Attack   SO
Bellando, Matt   Attack   JR
Treusdell, Dieter   Attack   JR
Rooney, Mike   Attack   JR
Vassallo, Cody   Attack   JR
tim hawkins   Attack   SR
Tundo, Jeff   Attack   SR
Ryan Ramirez   Midfield   FR
Andrew Buron   Midfield   FR
Anthony Berardis   Midfield   FR
Dylan Sbarglia   Midfield   FR
kyle zorn   Midfield   JR
Millican, Cole   Midfield   JR
Cerasi, Dominic   Midfield   JR
Connor Duddy   Midfield   SO
Luke MIller   Midfield   SO
Diggle, Mike   Midfield   SO
joseph laforet   Midfield   SR
Frank Lucatuorto   Midfield/FO   FR
Smith, Zachary   Midfield/FO   JR
Nick Pelella   Midfield/FO   SO
John Lynott   Defense   FR
Benitez, George   Defense   JR
Muzio, Derek   Defense   JR
Wawrzyniak, Jak   Defense   JR
Day, Patrick   Defense   JR
Andrew Dorsey   Defense   SO
Harris, Alex   Defense   SO
Berger, Justin   Defense   SO
Matt Scalera   Defense   SO
Judge, Bryan   Defense   FR
savaughn greene   Defense   RS SR
devin feeney   Defense   SR
Pat McGushin   Goalie   SO
Dan Shaughnessy   Goalie   FR

Some assumptions of course, particularly with redshirts, transfers, etc.

Potentially another recruit for this Class of 2015- Michael Andreassi, a local from Sachem North.

http://network.laxpower.com/laxforum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=44175&start=420#p914909

I believe he is a freshman this year, meaning he hasnt played at UMass, and may be eligible to play in 2012 with SB.  If the above is true, of course, then here is his profile: http://www.umassathletics.com/sports/m-lacros/mtt/andreassi_mike00.html

Big pickup- clearly a talented kid, bigtime size, and we are short on attackmen!

A huge pick up if true. I'm a big fan of getting lacrosse players that were also stand out football players and that's definitely the case with Andreassi.

In general I'm more impressed with Nagle's recruiting than I ever was with Sowell. Obviously some of Sowell's recruits developed into outstanding players, but on paper I really like the guys Nagle is bringing in.

Yeah and the word on Laxpower is that not only is Andreassi interested, so is his little brother (LSM) and another middie committed to RoMo, Jake Cabble.  Dont want to get too excited though as its all conjecture at this point.

Also, a third Mass kid committed for next year, Reed McLean (mid).

This would be a really impressive freshman class of local talent if they bring in Andreassi and Cabble. I think I'm counting 7 players from the 2010 Long Island showcase game http://insidelacrosse.com/blog/2010/06/25/recruiting-roundup-long-island-empire-big-50-showcase-game

Nagel adds another recruit in 2012 attackman Jack Sichenzia from Sayville. Looks like he originally committed to Colgate.

here are some sophomore highlights.

Agreed- he likes to to dodge and not afraid to run into traffic.  He's also a WR and he seems to be able to handle himself well despite being 5'9''.  I also some some nice cutting, some point work on the fast break, etc.

But one thing- he belongs in the 2013 thread- as he is graduating HS in 2012 and SB in 2016.

So just to round up all the latest news- it seems we have verbals from Andreassi and Cabble.  Please note that i read Cabble has a knee and will redshirt 2012, wherever he is. http://sachem.patch.com/articles/andreassi-cable-gamblin-headed-back-to-li

There's also coverage here: http://insidelacrosse.com/news/2011/11/16/umass-freshmen-brandon-gamblin-michael-andreassi-leaving
