Hopefully we will get a chance to see some of the younger guys play. I'm really intrigued by Jevahn Cruz at RB so hopefully he gets some carries so we can see what he can do.

He was a killer rushing QB in Suffolk County, NY. Makes me wonder what made them switch him over.

I think his size really hurts him. He is listed at 5' 7". I bet he could be a stud rb if he can add some weight.

I think he's a great high school player, but I don't think he'll be successful on the college level.

I think transition wasn't going to be easy for him because he came in at 150 lbs soaking wet.  I still think he can be solid player if can add some more muscle and maybe get up to 175-180. Also I heard he had IA offers to play CB but chose Stony Brook because he wanted to play on offense. If things don't work out at RB I think he could still be make an impact in the secondary.

I hope we can continue to improve in the passing game this week.  We're gonna need to be more diverse later in the season in the big games with CCU and Liberty.

They originally tried converting Cruz to be a CB, but his speed/talent made him too tempting as a RB.

His size is the only problem.  I wouldn't be shocked to see him returning kicks before long.

Anybody going to be tailgating this one?  We'll be there BBQ'ing in North P if anyone wants to join.

Granted   this was a D2 team tonight and their 2nd team defense wason the field but Mr. Cruz looked very impressive.   I'm guessing without the stats  but he had close to 100yds and 2 TD's  in less that a quarter.

Cruz had no fear of running between the tackles, and if the fumbling continues, he's going to see some more playing time.  If St. Ansem is knocking the ball out of your hands, I hate to see what Liberty's going to do.

the turnout was sad tonight. almost depressing. A 24k student body cant fill a 3k student section. I almost felt like leaving. One of the 60 kids in the student section tonight. football is not as fun when no one is around you. Oh well, gotta continue  being a loyal fan...

If you don't like it - petition the school to STOP SCHEDULING D2 SCHOOLS

Easy equivalence: If people have heard of the opponent - they show. If they haven't, they won't. I don't blame any student who didn't show up last night. Midterms are coming up, and the matchup was worthless.

Yeah I'm almost impressed with an attendance of 3k+. I really didn't have much interest being there and I'm just about as big of a fan as you can find.

Redwyn hit the nail on the head. No name programs especially a   weak D2  have no business on our schedule.    How  about a CAA team in a home and away, an IVY or another PL team.     I would rather see us lose a close one to a Maine or  Towson than   blow out  the team we saw last night.  I dont understand  basketball either  playing Indiana then  taking on D3 Mt. Ida the same weekend.

We had Hofstra and Iona on our schedule for the last few years.  Both of those programs folded.  The last two years, we've only had 5 home games, because there were 2 holes in our schedule, only 1 of which we could fill with a D2.  Yesterday's game was SUPPOSED to be homecoming against Hofstra, but without that being an option, they changed it to the lafayette game.

Other than that, we've had two money games against FBS schools, one conference game (and we can't control that presbyterian sucks), and the brown game, which is always a very exciting game.  Considering the circumstances, I have absolutely no objections with our scheduling.
