Stony Brook at New Hampshire
« on: October 23, 2016, 09:10:26 am »
A really difficult game coming up this week. On the road against a UNH team that appears to be getting into that down the stretch mode that has lead to I believe is 13 straight playoff appearances. If SBU were to get this one, a playoff berth becomes a very real possibility. We beat North Dakota and Richmond so we are capable of defeating the Wildcats. Of course the Sacred Heart game showed what else can happen and UNH is a tough team especially at home. Very few outside the SBU football community buy into us being a good team. This is a chance to open some eyes.

i watched a few min of NH vs Towson.  i think the cats are 4-1 in the conference, they are pretty good this.  and btw ND is at the top of the big sky.

should be a spirited contest.  GO SB

They beat UNH and it's deserving to talk about playoffs. Who would've thought we would be in this position right now?!?!?

For some reason I still don't even trust my own team even though the results have been fantastic in the CAA!!!

Just gotta enjoy the wins so far and hope for a W saturday. LETS GO SEAWOLVES!!

Thats the problem with this team this year. I think the defense will do it's job again this game. I also think our offensive line will have to step it up against UNH big D line. Just like SB, UNH Defense is very good.

If Carbone shows up and plays good ball, we win. If he plays the way he played against RI, we lose. Carbone needs to make better decisions with the ball. He needs to learn to throw the ball away if nothings happening instead of taking sacks. He needs to read the defense better and be more accurate with his passses. Easier said then done, I know that but the time is now for this team to make a stand for itself and prove to everyone they belong in the CAA.. The pieces are def there this season.

I noticed that Aaron Thompson is back in as the starter for the UNH game.  If he's at full strength it could be a big plus--not that the D hasn't done well without him.

So far the bad team made the trip . We look like a high school team out there and of course Carbone throws a pick early .

After a rough start, Carbone put together some nice third down plays to get that score.

14 points literally given away thanks to Carbone interceptions. We have so much offensive talent that is underutilized.

Really a shame as this game should have been a lot closer.

5th turnover  now  due to a Gowins fumble.  Game over for sure.  Very limited offense again and a ton of mistakes on the QB .
