SBU brought in 2 new coaches this year to run the offense. The previous year's issues are not attributable to them.  It is a reflection of the overall philosophy of the head coach that dictates how the offense wants to operate.

Major changes are needed if we want to build any type of competitive program .  If football is to be our signature  sport as advertised then work needs to be done now.

this coaching staff and the play calling is wrecking Bedell.  he is a player that plays best in space, not running between the tackles.  sort of like Reggie Bush.  they need to run him wide, and get him short passes out of the backfield.  two seasons in a row, he ends the season on the bench injured.  that is overuse for one thing, misuse is another.  run Liotine up the middle, or Gowins.  we don't throw to tight ends or running backs, never.  to say that our offense is one dimensional is a vast understatement.  even with two new offensive coaches, the O looked the same as it did under Coach P.  What???  how can that be.??

I agree about Bedell he is not a pounding into the line type and yes he is hurt again .  Our offensive numbers as  measured against other FCS  programs is terrible .   I have heard  all the excuses and injuries and yet we do not improve.  Time for changes .

It wont get any better if the existing HC comes back next season.. It is hard to say or know if the two new OC were allowed to make the calls this season or if coach P was still driving the calls... If someone with some inside info on that would care to share, that would be nice..

Heilbron needs to make the right move- Priore has not advanced this program one bit since moving to the CAA. Most of the advancement of this team occurred because of Hofstra dropping its program and getting us Maysonet and Brock.

It's time for fresh leadership with the football program. Priore has demonstrated for the last several seasons that he doesn't have the offensive creativity to survive in today's modern college football landscape. The biggest shame is we have lots of great athletes that are just not developing either with Priore at the helm. Again I ask the question- why would any decent WR even consider Stony Brook? This isn't Georgia Tech or Navy where we have a triple option.

I'm pretty disgusted as a several year season ticket holder with the program. The biggest shame is that even a mediocre offense would have had this team competing with the great defense that we've enjoyed. We need a HC that will get the offense back on track.

Do we think this was Priore's last game. If it was, when should we expect an announcement?

It would not be a surprise if Coach P stays . I for one will not renew  my season tickets for 2017 . I can get the scores Sunday in Newsday .

I totally understand your frustrations Seawolf97 and I was considering not renewing my tickets as well, however. I/we will. I got 3 families with a total of 14 season tickets to come to the games and tailgate. this was my 6 season as a season ticket holder and regardless who is the HC next season, I'll be back.. We enjoy spending a couple of hours before the games just to get together, eat, laugh and have fun.. I won't let coach P ruin a good time we all have at the game. But i will say this. Attendance for tailgating was way down this year from last year and I think a lot of that has to do with paying $100 for parking and poor game playing on offense. Most people wont say how they feel about this team, like we do, but they are frustrated and dont want to watch a team lose year after year....

Since my son is new to the team this was my first year tailgating and I myself agree with hammertime97
I felt it wasn't what I was expecting besides the homecoming game where a lot a people came out but still not as much I would think. Also with getting people to come is hard because we play the same time as the high schools play their games. So a lot of people that are into football are out at those games watching their kids and family member play.
