Beat Wagner and we are in. It's that easy!

Lets go Seawolves! Let's pack the house and give some love to our seniors

Trap game. That sounds ludicrous to say, but in the past we've played down to our competition. The seniors should know what's at stake though and bury Wagner. This one shouldn't be close.

i realize it's a cardinal sin to get ahead of ourselves here... but if we do make the playoffs (which is becoming more of a reality), anyone know the scheduling?  is the first round 11/25, and if we get a bye somehow, 12/2?

it's been so long since we made it, i forget...

I think so. Our last game is at Maine on 11/18, so first round following weekend 11/25, second round 12/02 , and QF 12/09.

that sounds right.  i remember the Nova first round game five years ago was right after t-giving.  and then, the SHSU game in december (you aint ready!).

it turned out, that when SB was up 10-7 at halftime, they were in fact ready.

If SB loses to lonely Wagner then they dont belong in the playoffs.

We all know this team has talent on both sides of the field. Now it is up to the coaches to get them mentally prepared to win. Dont get to complacent and play to win. Even tho coach P talks about how this team needs to finish the game and dont sit back, I feel like that is exactly what they are doing in these close call games.. They play to not lose late in the 4th Q..

Mental preparedness is key to success. Maybe we can get Dabo Sweeney to do a video chat with the team on Saturday, before the game :) :) :)

One game at a time. We should have no problem getting by Wagner at home. That program is struggling this year.

I see comments that if we lose to Wagner we shouldn't make the playoffs.... Why? Is that even if we beat Maine?

Even if we lose to Wagner and then beat Maine we would lock up 3rd place in the CAA... are you telling me an 8-3 team, 3rd place in the CAA should not make the Playoffs?!?!?

Why are we being so hard on our program?

It is only general discussion, ecasadoSBU.. And no. That does not include beating Maine, but You are correct. We beat Wagner we are in, if not then all pressure on the team is to beat Maine, and Maine is no pushover and the odds of us getting into the Playoffs drop dramatically with 7 wins.. This is why the majority of posters think we should roll Wagner, which is a cupcake, pushover team..

Did you watch the Albany game last week?? I think a lot of people are upset they way the coaching staff handle the 4th Q of that game, when we had the ball with a 1:30 seconds on the clock and they were taking their sweet old time going down the field with the same old BS, run up the gut, for no gain and using the entire game clock in between downs...

Your are right. It would definitely add a lot of pressure going to Maine if we lose at home vs. Wagner. I still think Maine is winnable if the same team that beat Richmond/New Hampshire shows up

In regards to the Albany game. Yeah, it was an ugly second half not just the last 1:30. I'll resist talking about Coach P though. lol

Anyway, the fact we can still finish 8-3 or even 9-2 is pretty exciting. (well, and 7-4 also but that wouldn't be exciting)

these last 2 games for SB are big the coaches and players are going to have to make a statement they cannot put these games solely in the hands of there defense to win they need to open there passing game put the running backs out in space 1on1 with there linebackers that will open the running game defensively that man2 man is killing you that defense is fast enough to take on any team in zone coverage they call themselves the legion of wolf's test them to live up to it. From what I've seen so far the coaches need to step up to the plate in order for this team to go far they need to have a game plan they cannot keep running the same 6 play's that they have been running all season
