well the coaching staff is going to have to be open minded about doing something different on offense.  this season was a dramatic example of how you can not win games in the CAA with a purely running game approach.  you need a competent QB to throw the ball also.  we had better hope that our RS FRosh QB is the real deal, or we are dead meat once again.  and don't give me that BS that we need a kid at QB that can run the option.  Carbone could do that, but he could not throw, and at the end of the day, the lack of a credible passing game sunk our season.  come on, Carbone stats, 3 TDs, 12 Interceptions.  I have never seen that before.

Ryan Fitzpatrick comes to my mind when i think of a QB who comes close to Carbone numbers!! ;-)

I was at the Suffolk Awards Dinner last night it was amazing all the records Jack Coan set as a QB in his career at Sayville and because Sayville was so far ahead by halftime in most of his games so not to run up scores they wouldn't play him in the 2nd half

The Junior TE/DE for Lindenhurst Jeremy Ruckert is now up to 35 offers including all the Big Ten and SEC Schools

A positive thing last night was that the SBU recruiter for Suffolk County came and he spoke in length with many of the top seniors and will be visiting many of them at their HS/Homes

I've been to a couple of Jack Coan games this year and last and i was always so impressed with his QB skills. He truly is a gifted QB. He reads the defense incredibly well, and always knew when the pocket was collapsing around him and when to scramble for crazy yards....

Jeremy Ruckert is a senior, I believe, and was another kid who is an incredible player both on offense and defense. Ward melville did shut them down in the semifinals this year. That was an unbelievable game for us. I cant wait for next year high school football already . My boy will be a Junior for varsity. He's been working out at the gym on and out of the school everyday. Coach Boltrek is a no non-sense kind of guy and expects every varsity player to give a 100%. if not, you will be keeping the benches very warm all season...

That's a waste of $$$ . I actually like the black jersey and red helmets.. Put that money into finding a better HC, not throwing it away on uniforms. Unless of course there are safety issues with the old equipment

We first wore the black jerseys with silver pants and silver helmets  when we beat Liberty for the Big South Title. We looked a little like the Oakland Raiders pretty impressive.  We should  keep them but also white helmets are ok I guess.

Front of the jersey is way too busy - either remove the word Seawolves or shorten it to Wolves.

Companies such as Nike, Adidas, and Under Armor pay millions for the opportunity to design and redesign college football uniforms. In 2010, Nike signed an eight-year contract with the University of Oregon, providing the school with approximately $2.7 million in gear and $750,000 in cash every year. Using a football team as advertising space is worth the cost.

I was just checking out the latest 2017 roster on the website and found that there are a number of notable names who are apparently no longer with the team.  A few of these were mentioned/explained in an earlier post some time back, but there now appear to be significant additions to the list.  Any insights?:

       Name                       Position                                      School Year
Chris Monteiro                                                   WR                                                             Soph.
Rory Allen                                                         WR                                                              R-Fr.
Pete Kennedy                                                     TE                                                              Jr.
Bradley Meeks                                                    DB                                                             Soph.
Tyrek Graham                                                    DB                                                              R-Fr.
Marvin Hart                                                        DB                                                              Sr.
Ryan Hovan                                                        OL                                                              Soph.
James Rizzo                                                        OL                                                              Sr.
Kyle Ziegler                                                        LB                                                               Soph.
James Wollweber                                                K/P                                                              Sr.

In addition, the Seawolves apparently picked up new place kicker as a transfer from Towson (3 years eligibility).  He was a local HS product.  This has been a weak position for us recently.  Hopefully he's a good get.  I'm going to try to do some research on him.
