If Priore is being brought back, next year has to be his make or break year. If they have a repeat of this year, he has to be let go. If Carbone is the QB again and we again have the worst QB situation in the United States at the DI level, his fate is sealed.

Recruiting linemen is a no-brainer. Priore needs to let go of control over the offense to somebody who knows what's going on.

I think Heilbron's optimism is misplaced but only time will tell. I have little reason to think this coaching staff gets what's going on.

I think it all comes down to Dollars and Cents. SB doesn't have the funds to terminate P and pay the remaining balance of his contract, 2 more years. I would think if they had the money, P would have been ask to leave by now.... It is what it is..

If P does not find a replacement at the QB position and makes Carbone the starter again, I think I'll take a back seat from going to the games and wait until P contract naturally runs out and we get a new HC... I also think I won't be the only one thinking the same thing.. Lets see how this offseason shapes up first...

carbone is done at SBU.  he painfully showed us this year that he is not D1 material. the only hope is the RS freshman.  and with that said, I suggest they recruit a JC transfer at QB, just in case.  cuz we cant afford to have Carbone as the back up QB.

Unless someone is blowing smoke I was told yesterday that they have no plans to bring in a transfer QB from anywhere and will give Tyquell Fields his chance in 2017

Tonight I will be at the Suffolk County Awards Dinner and Wednesday I will be at Nassau County if I hear anything exciting I will post it

The RB's Coach is vising a very good RB from Somers HS who just might be the #1 RB in NYS

Campi its not the talent we attract.  The coaching mentality has to change or we go 3 and out many times again in 2017.

RB is not what we need I think.here is what with have with high school stats and the new kid they are looking at
  Gowins #23 3343 yards 356 carries 47 TD (3 years stats) 9.4
  Bedell #21  5069 yards 535 carries 64 TD (3 years) 9.5
  Hornes  2942 yards 359 carries 37 TD(3 years) 8.2(scouting)
  Brooks#25  2082 Yards 241 Carries 21 TD(2 years) 8.6
  Parler #21  1169 yards 121 Carries 12 TD (1 year)
  Liotine#33 I couldn't find any
So I think we have good backs I would be happy with getting some O and D lineman in here

I agree. I dont think SB should be putting all their eggs in the RB dept year after year...
How about some more skills in the WR and CB areas?????

Unless we are going to throw the football 25 times a game why would a good WR want to come here

One other thing a number of those RB's that were just listed in an earlier post are walk-ons and may not be back next season because of playing time they may transfer. Also Bedel and Liotine will be seniors next year so that is why they are looking at a RB

True Campi, very true.. I guess i was just being hopeful that this team will find a QB who knows hows to throw the ball instead of handing it off.. But it is not in coach P DNA to do that..

well the coaching staff is going to have to be open minded about doing something different on offense.  this season was a dramatic example of how you can not win games in the CAA with a purely running game approach.  you need a competent QB to throw the ball also.  we had better hope that our RS FRosh QB is the real deal, or we are dead meat once again.  and don't give me that BS that we need a kid at QB that can run the option.  Carbone could do that, but he could not throw, and at the end of the day, the lack of a credible passing game sunk our season.  come on, Carbone stats, 3 TDs, 12 Interceptions.  I have never seen that before.

I was at the Suffolk Awards Dinner last night it was amazing all the records Jack Coan set as a QB in his career at Sayville and because Sayville was so far ahead by halftime in most of his games so not to run up scores they wouldn't play him in the 2nd half

The Junior TE/DE for Lindenhurst Jeremy Ruckert is now up to 35 offers including all the Big Ten and SEC Schools

A positive thing last night was that the SBU recruiter for Suffolk County came and he spoke in length with many of the top seniors and will be visiting many of them at their HS/Homes
