Still wish we could throw deep with accuracy . Little 10 yarders  hurt us  .

Well, that's it. Carbone threw a late pick late to seal it as well as the boneheaded play of fair-catching the ball at the 2...

But I'm very impressed with how this team played. Despite what the talking heads will say, that's not a bad USF team we played. Carbone is improved, the defense is just as stout and we can move the football. We very well could wind up having a nice season if we keep up. I expected a 50-7 type blowout, I didn't expect a tie game midway through the 4th. Nobody we'll play all year will be as talented as this USF team. Plus we avoid Villanova and JMU in conference play. Every game the rest of the way is winnable.

After the great game SBU played against South Florida and now we take on the doormat of the CAA in Rhode Island however according to people that I have spoken to around the CAA Rhode Island is the most improved team in the CAA and their coach (I think it's Tom Fleming) has them really playing great football as it took Central Michigan 3 OT's to beat them. Also they have a veteran team so this game is going to be closer than what most of us are use to seeing from Rhode Island.

URI could easily be a trap game. We have to take them seriously. If we play down to their level we won't win. Too often we play up/down to the level of our competition.

If we dont get to the QB quickly, this game could be a bust for us. Their QB Tyler Harris is a transfer from UCF, and was a 4 star QB and the #12 pocket passer in the country in 2014... He has a rocket of an arm.. I watched the game between WM and RI and couldn't believe this was the same RI team we all know. I am wishing the day SB finds a 4 star transfer who was a back-up playing behind a stud of a QB, but wants to finish is college carrier playing football and not a bench warmer.. I know some people on this board dont believe in star players, but I do.. There is a reason why they got recruited so high out of high school, because they were/are good!!!!

I think this is going to be a very high scoring game on both sides. Not because Carbone is throwing dimes to wide open receivers but because of our running game..

Our defense will have to win this game .  Putting up 10 points isn't going to make it against URI this year .  The Rams can score and if their defense is decent it could be a long afternoon .

just got an email saying the entry fee to wolfstock this year is waived.  good job SB, theyve managed the program so that they dont even have to charge for this event.   ;D

It is $25 a head for adults and you are limited to a total of four foods to eat and 1 soft drink??? Did I read that right?? I am ok with the $25 per head to get in but not ok with limit me on how much food and drinks I can have.

Every year they change this and we are considering just doing our own wolfstock in our designated parking lot this year and bring our own food.

I didn't see any of the game, but a win is a win. How did we look today? Our offense putting up 30+ points is an event in and of itself.

Defense is great and they are spreading the ball around. Making good use of their talent. Very much improved. Def has a lot if playmakers.

Fantastic and great to hear. Also great to hear Carbone is improving. He doesn't need to be a superstar, but as long as he can limit the mistakes, this team can go places. Just gotta take it one week at a time.

After last year, we need to make a statement against Sacred Heart here at home this week. I'd like a shut out.
