Sacred Heart at Stony Brook
« on: September 21, 2016, 09:07:05 pm »
Time to move on from the afterglow of the Richmond game and look ahead to Saturday against the Pioneers. They will come in undefeated after 3 wins over Pioneer Football League competition.
I would think SBU is a step up for them and I think we are the stronger team. Stay focused, stay hungry and this is a game the Wolves should handle.

As you said they must stay focused one game at a time.

Looks like the real Carbone is back- he's had an abysmal game

This team would be real good if we had a QB like Sacred Heart's under center- I've been really impressed with him.

Defense getting absolutely shredded by a team that just looks a lot better.

comedy central is the SBU football team today:  we look horrible.  Carbone personally gave up 10 points with his miscues.  D is worn out cuz O cant get a darn thing done.  we got up for Richmond, then fell flat on our faces against SH.

He play calling is not great either, twice on 3rd and short they go heavy and we get stopped. Stacy is not a power back spread it out and let him do is thing

Everybody stinks today

I'll say it again, Carbone is not a Division 1 level quarterback. Take him out and get Fields some experience. I can't watch him anymore.

coach P loves that play, going up the middle on short yardage, he has been doing it for years.  I've seen it fail many times in the last three seasons as we moved up to CAA.  you'd think P would figure that out by now.

This loss falls bigtime on the coaching, they just did not have this team at all prepared for the game.

Carbone line: 7/19 for 91 yards with 2 interceptions. Just an embarrassing performance- at least he had an excuse against the superior Temple team. He just does not have good arm strength and underthrew the wideouts on several routes. On slants he was misfiring all over the place.

awful second half.  SHU is good but not that good.  AT Lavalle.

momentum gone.  only positive here is that its a non conference game.

give it to the pioneers- nice offense against a pretty good defensive team at home.

headscratching calls on 3rd down and more than a few yards, to just run into the tackle for no gain.

hopefully long forgotten by nov.

agree with Wolfie, team was not prepared properly by coaching staff. the penalties were indicative of a team that was not prepared to play today.  what a shame.
