You live and die with your QB- their QB moved well, was accurate with his passes, and got rid of the ball when pressured. The gap between he and Carbone is enormous. The gap between the Sacred Heart QB and Carbone is MASSIVE.

I can't blame the staff- you work with what you're given but the talent pool isn't there at QB. Fields is way to green to put out there. I don't care if Stony Brook wins against Towson- if Carbone puts together another performance like the Sacred Heart game, its time for a change. It is hard to imagine anybody else being worse.

We all knew Carbone was going to be terrible again this year. To say Fields is too green is not fair. There are tons of Freshman QB who are starters all over the place. If Fields needs more time to even have a shot to be a starter, then maybe he is not the guy to start..

This university has an incredible time finding a starting QB who has all the metrics to be a leader and skills to be our go to guy. I'm concerned Fields could be another Carbone. If Carbone implodes again against Towson then he should definately be removed and Fields should take over. Lets see if he has what it takes to control this team. If he does, then maybe Fields is our guy, if not, then SB needs to aggressively look for a starter QB after this season ends!

SBU's QB of the future?  After all, if he doesn't want to sit out yet another year, he's going to have to drop to FCS.  Only kidding, but I can dream, can't I?

I saw that the other day and was going to post that on here as well, and say something like what you just said. too funny. If he chooses to drop down to FCS that school is going to get a hell of a QB. He is from california and would most likely want to stay on the west coast. SB wouldn't stand a chance ever getting a 5 star QB, not under this leadership at least!
