To make the postseason we'll need to win out. Lose another game and if we sneak in it'll be on the bubble as probably the last team in if at all. Even if we do get in we've likely seen the ceiling for what this program can accomplish unfortunately. Sad to say.

Agreed. We will have to run the table in order to get in. However,  I have a hard time believing the team is capable of doing that. I’d love to be wrong.

WE ALL SAW THE WRITING ON THE WALL IN THE PAST GAMES THE COACHING SUCKS THE SPECIAL TEAMS IN A 3 POINT STANCE  THE PAUSING BETWEEN PLAYS ON OFFENSE THE OFFENSIVE LINE NOT HOLDING UP 3 RUNNING BACKS RUSHED A TOTAL OF 72 YARDS AND WHEN THEY RAN OVER 100 YARDS  PER BACK IT WAS WITH WEAK TEAMS TYQUELL FIELDS IS NOT THE PROBLEM FIRE THE WHOLE OFFENSIVE STAFF INCLUDING THE QB COACH KEEP THE WR’S COACH DEFENSE NEVER GET A CHANCE TO REST CAUSE OFFENSE IS CONSTANTLY GETTING SHUT OUT WE NEED TO SEE NEW PEOPLE ON THE FIELD INSTEAD OF JUST SUITING UP TO STAND AROUND COLD

I hate that they keep calling for Fields to roll out during pass plays. So many times today he just had to chuck it out of bounds because the defense was right there and shut down any potential running lanes. Don’t know why they don’t have him throw in the pocket more. It’s maddening.

Just like men’s lacrosse hit its ceiling under Nagle, football has done the same under Priore. And that ceiling simply isn’t high enough for a university with the resources and potential that SBU has. The middle of the CAA pack isn’t good enough anymore.

i will point out one thing-

carbone took a lot of flak for not being the QB many wanted.  but, he got SB into the playoffs.

now we have the QB we want- mobile, accurate, better arm.  we can still make the tournament but it's not looking great.
There are 29,413,039 corporations in America; but only one Chairman of the Board.

A couple of thoughts regarding the athletic programs at SBU especially the direction of where Football is heading. At this time we have a interim president and I don’t see major changes until a permanent president is announced which might not happen for a year or so. Once a president is announced will that person be someone who wants to grow athletics or be happy with the status quo. Think about this Hofstra put a big extension on their stadium and then their president decided to go in a new direction and dropped Football now the only time you see that sport being played is for some HS games. I don’t see that happening here however we won’t know until the next president is hired and announces their plans for athletics

As far as football at this time if we don’t make the playoffs I could see some changes to the coaching staff

If the new president puts athletics on the back burner I’m transferring to a new **** school. This stagnation is absolutely unacceptable.

All I was saying until a new president is announced we don’t know what direction SBU wants to go so please don’t go crazy because until something happens then we will know because the last two presidents grew the athletics so I would expect the next one to do the same

As far as football goes I believe we can go 3-0

Are recruiting is going great as we have 7 very good commitments already and many more to come

What happened Saturday didn’t sit well with anyone from the AD down so expect a big game from all the players and the coaches

Attendance is a big issue and they will have to get innovative and stop driving the students away like it is now

Unless you are talking about assistant coaches, I dont see coach P going anywhere for the next 3 years. SB does not have the $$ to fire him after that contract extension.  He  is locked in for a long time. Grin and bear it.

That’s too much money for SBU to eat unless the assistant coach wants to leave on his own accord
