HS Football Skills Camp Showcase
« on: May 15, 2017, 10:59:57 am »
If anyone on this site knows any HS Football Players that want to play College Football there are two events this weekend coming up; Saturday May 20 at Lawrence HS starting at 12:00PM and Sunday May 21 at Sachem North HS starting at 10:00AM all players should try and arrive an hour earlier. At this time we expect 25-30 Colleges to be at both events. The College Coaches will have the ability to work with the players.

How was the attendance at these camps?  I heard the Nassau event at Lawrence was not well attended.

It gets better every year we had 75 players at the Nassau one (up by 10 from last year) and 80 at the Suffolk one (up by 13 from last year)

The big thing was that 30 College Coaches attended both Events

Also more HS Coaches were in attendance so they said they will push more players to attend next year

A couple things I wanted to share in regards to the Long Island HS Football talent for the 2018 Class

The best player on LI is Lindenhurst Jeremy Ruckert TE who now has close to 40 DI Offers however because he has close ties to Sayville's Jack Coan look for him to go to Wisconsin

There isn't one top QB however Northport's Ryan Walsh could be a FCS type

The best RB is Dashawn Meaders from Hempstead whose father played at Cincinnati

The best talent for 2018 Class is on the OL/DL as there could be a dozen DI/DIIA types

There are always surprises every year however not enough LI players get out to the many camps in the northeast to show off their talent which is a must

One last thing SBU holds it's first prospect camp this Wednesday from 6-9 PM and they invite other colleges to take part in it

SBU held its 1st prospect camp tonight and 160 HS rising seniors and juniors showed up from as far north as Buffalo to is far south as Maryland/Virginia.

The talent level was very good and Coach P invited 17 DII/DIII College's to attend which was great for the players in attendance

One bit of news that I got is that they will be scholarship a QB and RB for the 2018 Class
