Link to watch game indicates you need a password.

Further on it looks like $4.95 for 24 hour membership.

Anywhere is the game streamed live for free?

Nope!, but for $4.95 to watch the game is cheap!! I, will not be watching this game because it will be boring. Saving my fun for tonight SBB game, even though they are playing a div3 team.

I was up in Connecticut for the weekend seeing family and it was a close enough drive to Rhode Island so I went to the game The players played hard the whole game and you could see in their faces that they love playing for their coaches as they were bringing their A game.

This week prior to the game because I have my own website I was able to talk to the Coaches of SBU, LIU Post and Nassau Community College about recruiting and the difficulties each team has in getting the right players for their program.

Starting with SBU they go through about 500 individual videos of players all around the country and then they see about 500 players at their individual camps that they have on campus so they see lots of talent every year their goal is to recruit the players with the highest ceiling to develop. I know many people who put things up on this website would like to see a new coaching staff however with the amount of young players here and coming in I think that would a huge mistake however what I would like to see is someone with ties to New Jersey be added to the staff as there is so much talent there.

LIU Post  has less to offer than SBU in terms of scholarships and they said their concern every year is because the expense to go there is high players leave after their freshmen year. Also they have difficult holding on to players for academic reasons.

Nassau Community College usually has to wait for the players coming out of HS that are non qualifiers who end up going there also they get a lot of players from down south. Also each year players who went DI end up transferring there. I asked the coaches about Ben Holmes QB who is coming to SBU in the fall and they said they would be shocked if he's not the starting QB next year.

With all do respect I have to disagree with you about the change in coaching staff and about how much the players love playing for the head coach. In order for this team to move forward and get back into the winning circle in the CAA, there MUST be a coaching change on Offense and head coach. Coach P does not have what it takes to take this team to the next level. This is not coming from just me!!!

These senior are playing for pride & i this  speaking with the players they do not want to got out losing. There is still issue with coaching & playing calling & the numbers show it.

I blog it on a different subject; changes need to be maid in the final stats...

Play Calling
3rd down Coversions; less then 33% in some games
4th Quarter productivity; it was 50% lower the 1,2nd,3rd quarters.
Penalties per game

This issue have caused SBU to lose way to many games the last 2 seasons.

Why do some of you sound so angry. This is FCS football. This is not Alabama. Your not going to get 5 star recruits. Why don't they fire every coach in the school and the AD. Set up a public pelting. I mean u gotta be kidding me. The AD has secured funds for the indoor practice facility, but some think he's done nothing. Schools like SB can't always afford to buy out a contract. I'm not saying Priore is getting it done, losing assistants has a lot to do with that. Everything around here is negative. You make it sound like they haven't won a game in 5yrs. When you lose Bedell and your top recruit White, your gonna take a hit on offense. And I do not like the rotating qb's. Add in all the other starters that got hurt. Hart was leading the CAA in return yds. That's huge. Befell was leading rushing. Throw in Beverette and the rest. I have spoken to players and they do like their coach. If the AD wants a change then so be it. You guys act like all this isveasy. And please nobody respond with the facts. I'm a smart man, I know this is a 500 team. Another thing , the poster ciampi47 knows his stuff. He is close to the program.Every time he tries to give some insight on things, some of you just shut him down. He is giving you first hand info. I have posted his info for years and it was always right on. I can't wait until some of you start calling for Pikiels head  if they don't make the dance. Again, this is SB not Alabama

Facts are facts.  We aren't a .500 team right now.  We haven't been since 2012.

My question is "Are we moving forward, or moving backward?".  Have we seen anything this year that breeds optimism?  We "recruit talent", but then there is always an excuse as to why we aren't winning.   Excuses are  pretty much the one thing we have an abundance of.

If we improve, then i'm happy.  If we continue to repeat the same mistakes, and regress further down the ladder, then no matter how much the players like the coach, he has to go.

I am also not always a stat guy; & yes the team would be much better without the injuries. But the staff needs to make better adjustments in game planning; teams come prepaired based on what they see on film.

Your playing URI who has had 1 win this year in the CAA & you cannont covert 8 3rd down plays in a row; there is a problem that needs to be fixed.

I stated nothing about firing a coach; but they need to make better adjusments to the game.

I do not blame the players; i beleive we do have players if used in the right way can make this a competitive football team.

The issues are clear & they need to make changes to there game planning. You cannot continue to run the same offence if it's not working; we run 70% so when you shut down the run we lose against good teams.

All i hear from the staff is this is what we do run; well as you can see it hasn't been effective. We are now on our 3rd string RB who has a heart of a tiger; but you cannot expect to put it all on his back to win you games.

When you start having consecutive years with the same issue then yes people will start looking at the leadership in the coaching staff. It is very hard to keep good talented coaches in a D1 AA division school; SBU has had coaches move on in the past 3 years to better schools.

Good programs are able to make these adjusments; SBU needs to find away to accomplish this goal.

I am hopeful you are right Crissy about the players; but i have heard other vibes within the program & i am very concearned going into next year......

It's a tough business coaching; but when ask alumni & businesse to invest in this program they expect results.

I have no issue with honest critiques. I agree jag that change might be in order. Dd I was not referring to your posts. Its the unreasonable ones I have issue with. I donate to the school, wins and loses don't change that.

Away from the Dominican... Very pleased they won. I was scare they would lose to Rhody... Simply because no one loses to Rhody.

Sad because I will be away and miss the Season finale against our Rival Albany... But happy just to know they have an opportunity to finish .500.

Time to beat the Danes!

Chrissy...

The program needs fans like you; it's hard to sustain a wining  progam everu year. But yes sometimes you need to maked hard decsion that will correct issue on & off the fiel; i am hopeful this occurs this off season.

The offence we ran beofre entering the CAA has not been effective; they need to install new play action & read plays in the coming year.

Being fans we are not always in tune on whats going on inside the program; there has been many injuries on this team on both sides of the ball. If we can stay healthy & if several of the players return next yearr the offence could be fun to watch.

I think we need  the following coming into the program next year...

Recievers
Lineman on D & O
DB
QB
FB or Slot

We have plenty of the following;

RB
TE

I am looking forward to see these players end the year with a win; it will help motivate them going into next year. It's been mentioned that they have already added a OL coach to the team for next year.

I am hopeful it's sunning & not to cold this Saturday.

injuries were an important reason this team cratered this season. but things like the QB carousel, lack of coaching sophistication, and inability to adapt our offense to the changing player landscape doomed this team to where they currently stand.  I think Carbone regressed as the season progressed.  that poor showing against Elon did some damage to his confidence.  Its going to be a QB shootout next spring between Carbone and this new kid from the JC.
