Great road win. No matter if UNH is down this year. To win at UNH is always big!

I would love for SBU to become the "New UNH". Always a solid playoff contender. Obviously, would love to some day win it all.

Anyway. We are 5-2 and head back home to what will likely be the largest crowd of the year. Rhody won't be easy. But I'm optimistic about it

UNH was a bit down last year (very bad losses to Holy Cross and Albany) and got very  lucky with a playoff spot and two relatively easy playoff games.  They may not win a CAA game this year. We showed that we are still pretty good while smacking them around... their talented QB had great difficulty with our team speed.

Hoping for good crisp (not cold) weather next week and the return of Gowins.

i watched most of the game.  a few thoughts:

the box says 18k fans- is that right???

we are killing teams with yards per carry- near 5.  i credit our line (skill positions).

with that said, the bone opened things up with 14 yards per completion.

also i credit our defense again for withstanding 81 plays, 51 of which were passes, and only gave up 7.  and scored more than that.

special teams was good too- preventing KRs and PRs.

both sides of the ball did well on 3rd down. GO SB

New rankings drop later today, but I anticipate the CAA will have seven teams ranked, including our next three opponents, so our next three games will be against ranked competition and will bring the total (at the time of the game) to five on the season. A great way to impress the committee down the stretch. If we win out, we'll likely win the CAA as I don't believe Towson will run the table (still have Elon and JMU on the schedule). Same thing for Maine.

Realistically, we've got to win two out of the next three, and then beat Albany at the end of the year. That would leave us with an 8-3 record and put us solidly in the playoff field. Anything less, and we'd need lots of help from around the country. I'm expecting a loss at JMU, but winning the rest leaves us with a solid season and another home playoff game.
