Just to add my two cents:
-- I'd call yesterday's performance a master class in executing the running game. OL superb and RBs refusing to succumb to the first tackler; many yards after first contact. I'd match our tandem of RBs against any other team pair in the country.
-- Carbone has finally figured out that he's never going to be Tom Brady. But, he avoided serious errors, was totally under control, and when the opportunities were there, he hit Wingate and Washington perfectly
-- The defense was great across the board, especially against the run. Just thibnk they're going to have to figure out how to avoid long pass successes pn defense if we're going to survive the likes of Villanove, JMU, etc.
-- Another excellent sign was getting costly penalties under control. Good job last night; must continue to replicate.
-- AREA OF CONCERN: INJURIES
The team seems to be a little beat up right now, with several key players out (Ellick and Scarbrough unavailable yesterday; don't know seriousness). It looked to me like Brandon Lopez (DL) and Nick Anderson (WR) may have been injured badly yesterday. That would mean 2 key players each at DL and WR may be out for next week, and maybe longer. I know that the team is deep, but those losses may be hard to overcome.
