It only makes sense we play the Bulls.    The  two biggest  of the state schools should compete against each other.   So 2013 sizes up as Buffalo and Boston  College. Good schedule again !

Love it. Props to the athletic department for landing regional opponents for the next two years with a one bcs game each year and one somewhat winnable game each year.

So   a good part of our 2013 schedule seems  in place .
Home - Brown  plus  three Big South games
Away - Boston College, Buffalo, Colgate and  three   Big South  games. I think 2013 is a 12  game season for FCS programs . We have 10 already .

I saw not long ago that we still have a game scheduled with Cincy, but I can't remember if it was 2013 or 2014. It should still be in the works though.

Boston College and Buffalo will be on our schedule in 2013. So I'm guessing Cincy and a team to be announced will be on  our schedule in 2014.  Like the press by the way.

Some folks said this would happen.  Hopefully Cincy doesnt buy us out and reschedule someone else. It is not so much  getting  a win for them now as getting a quality win or close loss.

For 2012, i think we can reasonably go 9-2 this year.

Date    Opponent / Event    Location    Time / Result
Sat., Sep. 1    vs. Central Connecticut    Stony Brook, N.Y.    6:00 p.m. ET
Sat., Sep. 8    vs. Pace    Stony Brook, N.Y.    6:00 p.m. ET
Sat., Sep. 15    at Syracuse TV    Syracuse, N.Y.    4:00 p.m. ET
Sat., Sep. 22    vs. Colgate    Stony Brook, N.Y.    6:00 p.m. ET
Sat., Sep. 29    at Army TV    West Point, N.Y.    12:00 p.m. ET
Sat., Oct. 6    vs. Charleston Southern    Stony Brook, N.Y.    6:00 p.m. ET
Sat., Oct. 13    at Coastal Carolina * TV    Conway, S.C.    TBA
Sat., Oct. 20    vs. Gardner-Webb *    Stony Brook, N.Y.    4:00 p.m. ET
Sat., Oct. 27    at Presbyterian * TV    Clinton, S.C.    1:00 p.m. ET
Sat., Nov. 3    vs. VMI *    Stony Brook, N.Y.    6:00 p.m. ET
Sat., Nov. 10    at Liberty *    Lynchburg, Va.    3:30 p.m. ET

Army beat NW last year, but otherwise had gaping holes in its defense.  That game could be a track meet for us.  It might really be the best team we play during the regular season.

Cuse has us in between USC and Minnesota.  Last year they beat Wake and surprisingly beat up WVU in the dome.  Otherwise, losses to every team in the Big East.  It looks like they really struggle on the road, but we play them inside the Dome.

Liberty is always a good game so that one i think will be unpredictable, especially down in Lynchburg.  Coastal might be a threat this year too, we travel to them in mid-Oct.

How does this affect our future non conference scheduling? The plan while SBU was in the Big South was to play 2 FBS games a year, but 2 money games plus an 8 game CAA schedule would make it very difficult to get to the required 7 wins for at large consideration. Also, we are rumored to already have 4 games scheduled for 2013: @Buffalo, @BC, @Colgate, and Brown. If true I'm guessing we'll buy our way out of Colgate contract to balance our home and away games in 13.
