While you cant really compare one program to another very accurately I see Albany  similar to either Presby or GWU.  PC ran pretty well against us and GWU   could throw.  End of the day though we wore them down and the rest is history.  Liberty is  far stronger opponet than Albany and the back forth scoring showed that. But once again we wore them down as they became less efficient in the 2nd half missing pass plays and watching their O line break down.  From what I saw they were running out of gas by the 4th quarter. We just have to be carefull  not to overlook Albany and get sloppy ourselves.

I also see Albany at about the quality level of Presbyterian this year. Yes, an upset could happen, but unlike men's basketball so far, I think the football team has become the real deal with Essington at the helm. The Wolves have a huge amount of momentum working for them, and I also don't see them slacking off the 40+ point pace. Prediction: 45-21 SB.

We have a confident team, but they do a great job playing game-by-game. Coach Priore has said it all year long. They transition from game-to-game so well. They don't get over confident and that's what I think make this team so great. They will come up on Saturday and get the big W. This is the chance for SBU football and the Big South to shine. SHS will abuse us if we get to the second round, but w/e

I might be overly confident but I don't think anyone in FCS can abuse this team right now. Liberty was probably overrated at 16th in the country, but I'm not sure you can find a school that matches up better against us. If we can beat Mike Brown, Chris Summers, and Asa Chapman, I think we can play with anyone.

We have to beat Albany first. That said, I'm also not convinced that Sam Houston will abuse the Wolves. Sam Houston is rated (by Sagarin) fairly close to UTEP: #77 vs. #89. (Yes, I think those ratings are useful indicators.) If we took UTEP to OT without Essington, I think we can will make a game of it vs. Sam Houston with Essington. We can certainly keep it to a two touchdown difference if we lose, with a small chance of taking it to the final minutes.

I'm all set. Got a ticket for my friend also. It will be a crazy day for me but no way I'm missing this game. I'm driving from the Bronx and then heading back because it's my bday on sunday. Sunday night I'll be returning to the Brook again for classes. Never have I traveled back-and-forth so many times in such a short timeframe like that... lol

GO SEAWOLVES!!!!!!!

Weather: 60F, SUNNY

Can it get better than that?

Hello SBU fans from Texas.  Dont know much about either team so I will be watching with interest on Saturday.  Nobody in the FCS thinks Sam Houston St is the real deal with an 11-0 record and #1 seed in the playoffs so I   guess everyone will have to find out when they make the trip to Huntsville and then form their opinions from there.  Looking forward to Dec 3rd whoever makes it to the second round.  Good luck this weekend!!
