The three inexcusable plays I saw:

Tyquell chucking it up into the end zone only to get picked off on 3rd and goal (**** play calling led to that)
Makye Smith personal foul after sacking Del QB forcing 4th and 12 - for starting a fight. Nice going.
Johnny Corpac muffing a punt that was caught at midfield.

Burn it all down.

I didn't watch a moment of this game, but just looking at the box score it's clear some serious f***ery happened. How do you have two backs go for over 100 yards, with one of them going for nearly 200 and lose like that? This is the late season meltdown that's typical of a Priore coached team and is inexcusable. Especially in a CAA that's full of parity. What does it say about JMU that a 5-6 team took them to overtime LOL. Heilbron extending Coach P was a MASSIVE mistake.

I'd be willing to watch Albany beat us by 50 next week if it meant Coach P finally got canned. Not gonna happen though. I suspect having nothing else to play for other than senior day and potentially denying Albany a playoff bid that the guys will be fired up and play better next week, but good lord this is terrible.

This game turned out as expected.  I was wrong though.  I said SB loses by two posession.  Oops. Anyway, SB loses next week to UA. Our boys have given up and threw the white towel in. They know theres nothing to play for anymore this season.  Coach P is a hack and should be fired,  but he wont be. P.S. I'm finished as a season ticket holder until Priore leaves. Enough is enough and if the University wants to play Politics  with Athletes,  then I'm out.

If it means anything to you, the players don’t like Priore either. He lost the locker room several seasons ago.

If that’s the case then how does he still get very good HS Football Players to commit to come here

SBU already has 7 players committed for the 2020 Class and more ready to commit any day. In all expect 12 to sign in December early LOI

How much of that is on Chuck vs. just offering these kids the ability to stay on the Island and play D1 football for Long Island's team? Sure, he gets recruits, but A) could we be getting better recruits without him and B) is "he" even the reason that this school appeals to recruits

I agree with you. Some kids dont want to go away for college and stay close to home. Those are the athletes SB would be getting regardless of who their HC is.

If SB was able to hire an HC from outside long island and strong ties to down south or midwest maybe that coach can entice the better players to come here.

College football is very different than Lax. In Lacrosse long island produces some of the best athletes in the world. You would want a coach from our area to stay here and recruit local products. Long Island is not a hotbed for football so a school needs to reach far to areas that are rich in football and try to convince them that SB is the school for them. Down south, west coast mid west are all good areas to recruit from. Find a football coach with strong ties to these areas and the talent will come.

There aren’t that many scholarship kids from LI on this team most are walk-ons who eventually get a scholarship. SBU is relying on the 5 boroughs, upstate NY, CT, PA, NJ.

LI only has on the average about 12 players a year that can play in the CAA as a scholarship player and maybe another 15 players that can walk-on at a CAA school

How many players from long island go FBS, on average

It's been 11 years since SB has offered 63 scholarships under Coach P.  and we've seen the best that the program can achieve under him. In fact, his best seasons were thanks to Hofstra cancelling its program and their two running backs having to scramble to find a team. Right now the only team worse than SB in the CAA is Rhode Island...and SB barely squeaked by them, at home. The program should not be in this position. IMO Shawn made a poor decision to extend Priore for a long as he did, and it's unlikely he will be bought out. The football program is where the men's lacrosse was under Nagle, and everyone knew that had to change.

Here’s a idea start a go fund me page to raise money to fire Coach P and see how much you raise

There’s about 4K-5K people that attend SBU Football Games each week and only about 20 people who respond to topics on this website so I guess there’s two ways to look at that; one it doesn’t matter what I say nothings going to change or two I have no problem with how things are going.

I have mentioned to many people that go to the SBU games about going on this site and they told they can’t be bothered in their words it is what it is

Get a coach and staff who know how to win kids want to come to a winning program some  kids that have recently been recruited these past few years have been taking a back seat to players that they are better than  in that’s a coaching plus politics decisions not a lack of talent PLAY THE BEST ATHLETES FOR THE JOBS not who you just like cause of a Long Island connection playing favorites has not worked well as we all can see
