I’m starting a new post regarding SBU’s approach towards 2024 recruiting.

For the last 12 years with the help of both Nassau and Suffolk County Football Coaches Association we’ve been running HS Football Showcase’s and while SBU has sent coaches to recruit players this year for the first time Coach P came and even though the weather was brutal he stayed and actually walked around and talked to players and parents.

SBU now has coaches recruiting in California Florida Georgia and the Carolina’s and has already offered 12 players in Georgia

Any thoughts on the transfers Campi? Any real good ones?

Other than watching them on film (and by the way they all look really good) I know as much as everyone else however they all are on campus right now which is huge. I agree with Hammer they should be doing a lot of PR and I haven’t seen any of that.

This is Coach P’s make it or break it year this team can win 9 games or lose 9 games.

As far recruiting goes I believe they have verbally offered like 30 players however official offers won’t come until July sometime

One win two if they get lucky. this late in the game no team is getting good transfers. And coach p going to a high school showcase for the first time is not a good thing. Why now? Long island coaches know not to send a halfway good kid to SB.

I think every good football athlete knows to stay away from SB. Not because of the school itself, but more because of Chuck Priore. His reputation here on Long Island is not something to be desired. Kids know, athletes go to SBU to either transfer out or waste talent

SBU got a very good commitment from St. Anthony’s in Alex Menghi who has very good speed and great hands.

They are also closing in on a very good lineman

Who else does Menghi hold offers from? its impossible to be excited about this program with this coach and this AD. Another year of an empty stadium.

The only thing I know for sure is that Menghi is the #1 TE on LI.

But, was there any information on these transfers that SBU would care to share with season ticket holders or football fans? Geeesh. Talk about lack of transparency from these clowns.

SBU deserves to lose every season ticket holder for not being honest, and for not staying in touch with fans

Everything is a secret at SB athletics. No media coverage lets them screw the fans and chases their supporters away. I wont be shocked if Heilbron has been extended and thats being a secret.
